Warfarin Workshop: The Slippery Thief
Years ago, an angsty teenager made this mod. Now that teenager returns a wiser adult to fix some of the horrible design and technical choices put into this mod!

I've been rather busy but I'll use as much free time as I can to fix up this mod via:

Making it compatible with any mods;
Making it compatible with any DLC;
Rebalancing

The mod compatibility won't have any adverse effects to your gameplay, however the DLC compatibility requires that I remove the Shipwrecked skin from Warfarin. Sorry to the people who liked that!

---First of all: Daggers!---

At the moment daggers are just a strict upgrade to any weapon. I want to change this and make them just a tad worse off, while the backstab remains capable to obliterate enemies to make clever uses of stealth far more beneficial! Don't worry, I don't want them to be USELESS in combat and have considered giving them a short damage buff after doing something I'll get into later.

Reduce the durability loss the Liar Dagger takes on teleporting, and make it lose durability like a normal weapon while attacking. The way I made it work to not lose durability is not good.

They're good the way they are, I think! Though I'll touch up the UI


---STEALTH AND PARKOUR--

For the most part I don't want to change too much! But the jump can easily lead to some rage-inducing deaths and just feels clunky. So here are my ideas:

The movement key will only make Warfarin jump if you are against a wall. This will allow you to keep the functionality of building 'bridges' for Warfarin to jump over gaps in terrain. However if there is no wall (or tree) Warfarin will instead roll like the old days. This roll will grant invulnerable frames and if timed right, will give daggers a nice damage boost! Skill = reward, basically.


And a final note:

WARFARIN FOR DON'T STARVE TOGETHER IS SOMETHING I'M LOOKING INTO, BUT CAN'T PROMISE. IF IT IS RELEASED, IT WILL LIKELY HAVE MANY BALANCE AND GAMEPLAY CHANGES TO FIT CO-OP AND PVP GAMEPLAY MORE FAIRLY.

I wanted the dash to have more of a combat advantage and using it in thick forests would often be annoying since you'd accidentally start climbing. It was also just redundant since you could just hug the tree for the same effect.

Hey there, I noticed the daggers don't attack absurdly fast now and that's pretty cool because you were able to stunlock Moose/Goose permanently, Warfarin doesnt get their shipwrecked design and Bush Hat doesnt give any special advantage like ambush attacks.

Both were intentional! The shipwrecked skin lead to some bugs and the bush hat not letting you ambush was for balance.

how much cover do you need to be able to ambush? is it 100% stealthed, or is like 75% fine? ive been having trouble getting the ambush to work.
