How Did You Extract the Game Files?

I was just curious how you got the game files. I want to extract some myself so I can use some props and things in my game, and I was just wondering how you did it?

I actually figured this out a few years ago, there is a tool called Ninja Ripper which you can use to rip models and textures from the base game.
