I usually only block people who drop spam on the addons (bob, phallic ascii art, etc). A lot of people would spam the same thing on multiple addons multiple times but can't comment when blocked so I just started blocking people who'd spam and move on to avoid it just repeating endlessly.

It's many years later at this point so I can't really provide too many specifics these days but I mentioned the kinds of things I blocked in the comment above. You can't post comments when blocked so I usually just blocked people and moved on. Some people liked to post large ascii images which makes it harder for people leaving constructive criticism or mentioning problems / solutions with the addons to find and read comments when it's 90% ascii art spam.
