No way to add England to HRE - possible bugs in edge cases
I managed to become emperor of HRE as England. I was Empire at the time.

There is no way to add England provinces to HRE. The tooltip said something that only germanic culture countries can add provinces to HRE.

Is this intended? If it is I find it annoying since I cannot join HRE even if i try to move the capital from London to a province in the mainland, and I didn't really know of this limitation before becoming the emperor. Also, a lot of work and diplo power is spent to become emperor, which is then wasted since there is a high possibility you might loose the throne and your affiliation to HRE since you have both negative modifiers of not being a HRE state and having Bohemia as a PU, (each of them is a -50 to diplomacy and vote from electors)

Also, you get to experience the strange behaviour that you own HRE land as an emperor but that land is seen as owned by a non-HRE country and it reduces imperial authority greatly.

I am pretty sure at least some of these edge cases need to be addressed by the developer.

I've raised this before, its to stop nations like spain and england dominating the HRE, more of a major drawback is where the HRE in its current form only lets you join if you are part of the german culture group, this creates an issue when regarding the Italians, who might end up as emperor and have an actual historic basis to join.

I get the fact that it stops majors dominating the HRE. But as you also said this arrises many other limitations in gameplay and game UX and it doesn't really block an empire owning HRE since I can vassalize 2 or 3 electors or just improve relations with the others and still become emperor most of the time.

Also while obtaining a PU with Aragon as England for example is still allowed and is definitely not historically accurate, why becoming emperor and adding your country to HRE is not allowed because it will be historically inaccurate?
