Hi, I have had the Burgers at 100 Influence, and now I have a disaster on my hands. I need to take the decision "Curtail the Burgers", but I can't get their Influence to 60. It is at 75 because of land ownership, merchant kingdom, high trade income and some minor factors. I can reduce my trade income, but I don't know what "merchant kingdom" means (I am playing Byzantium, not Venice or any merchant based government type) or how to decrease their land ownership. I have already given most of the states land to the nobles in order to try and boost them.
