so I turned into the dutch republic, I got to choose my candidate, got a nasty statist (6/6/6)

the thing is it triggers an event where my heir dies, with no available options to proceed. afcourse waiting a couple of months makes the event dissapear, only for it to reapear next month, even though I have no heir that can die!

the same happens with an organist candidate. reloading did not fix the problem. and I havent got as far for the next election to happen.

so now I am here, hoping any of you have met the same fate, and if anyone knows how to not make this happen.

I got a save game where the event is open, I can upload it if anyone wants to try for theirselves.

edit: after trying to declare war it told me my regency council wouldnt allow it...

edit 2: regency council was the problem, apperently it doesnt change when you get the event.
what I did was choose to go on with a monarchy and trigger the event with the console
and change to dutch republic once your heir comes of age with the following command:

event flavor_hol.3502
