Autonomy
Hey. What's up with the autonomy increasing in every province even when i'm at peace and unrest is in minus? Seems like nothing i do slows it down :O I have stability +2 and centrilization policy but it just keeps rising :(

The liberty, church, and noble buildings still exert a minimum autonomy that centralization cannot ignore.

If your Rule of Law is below 25 you'll get access to an enforced centralization policy. This one will ignore those minimums.

i had that policy running and my autonomy was still rising

Thanks. I'll look into it. But i did notice now most cores stop at 20%, cores with another culture stop at 30% and conquered ones stop at 40% ^^

Choosing the Cultural Unity Idea Group and getting the last idea will give you -0.1% Local Autonomy reduction. Other than that you can have a governement type that reduces Local Autonomy. But beware, reducing Local Autonomy increases Required Governance, which if it exceeds Current Governance it will cause you to gain Local Autonomy.

Golladan - you just killed this mod for me. EU 4 is a game of conquering the world. Crusader King has a points of victory, EU 4 is not. Yours first verion of this mod was the best mod ever. I were in shock - how it is possible that few men can make so fantastic game - yes it was a new game for me. Now it is a snake who eat his own tail, and autotnomy is one of reason that i dont play in this mod. of course - it is my opinion. I think that may people, who didn't paly in first verion love this new version. But it is not my story, if i would to play in sim city in EU realm i just play i Crusader King.
BTW - in "old version" i conquered all Europa and Asia(all provinces were my) 3 times - playing as Byzantium, Poland and Ottomans. Good luck for this, who want to do this same with "autonomy" and "inefficient bureaucracy".
Pity.

OK, edit on my Polish game, I have now waited 20 years, disbanded army already and dismantled forts, expanding beaurocracy as always, enlarging it, also, I started (20 years ago) selling crown land in some areas in others granting titles (each and every area affected). For 20 years now with land giving setting active - no popup of land being given to anyone. Is that a bug? My autonomy is now flat 100% all across except Krakow... Had to develop Krakow (Capital) to be able to afford loans I've taken. Vassals don't show me any respect and I just sit helplessly waiting for my Governance to hopefully catch up. After this I guess It'll be waiting again for autonomy to drop and then, waiting for Governance to rise so that I can conquer anything. My ideagroups are: centralisation, cavalry and conciliatory. Westernized in the meantime (what else to do). No advisors, literally, the only expense are loans.
What the actual f... game?

edit: just had "A golden era for culture!" event... so its not like nothing's happening ..

Utterly disgusting;

The year is 1535, Russia is formed and has 535 Development, but only 3000 toops. 100% autonomy all over the place, exept in their capital.

Well, the system of Realm Management is a very good idea! And I like everything... except new autonomy system.

I abandoned my play through at about the year 1450 as every AI nation had 100% autonomy in all their provinces bar their capital; not a challenge when 500 development countries can only field 7k men.

Do anyone know if the last update (3.1beta) fixed that autonomy problem?
RivtalDM  [developer] 21 Mar, 2016 @ 4:39pm
Yes, latest update re-taught the AI how to use the system in a way that allows it to expand without self-destructing.
Pandemix 1 Apr, 2016 @ 10:01am
Oh, nice guys. With this autonomy system this mod (was best) is now dead.
RivtalDM  [developer] 1 Apr, 2016 @ 4:10pm
It has some issues with how the AI handles it is all; the last build cleaned up several of them and the latest beta coming this weekend should handle the rest. It's in beta stage for a reason and one of the reasons is we need far more test cases than we have players or time to run observer games to monitor how the AI handles the mechanics we throw at it.
