New Mechanics Questions!
I thought maybe there should be a thread to just explain new mechanics that would mean less clutter on the dowloand page.

My first question is what do the new things displayed in the bottom half of the national statistics do and how do you increase them? (governability, bureaucracy, patrimonialism, etc.)

Is it intentional that the player cannot command or change his vassals war stance of aggressive/supportive or neutral? I cannot find it anymore with the vef 2.0 but you had it in beta.

(WHOOPS, didn't have Art of War DLC selected)

Some random events do.
That event whose options are +10 unrest in a province or -30 ADM -> the second option also increases Bureaucracy by 3
The event to grant priviledges to a foreign country (trading Legitimacy for increased tax + relations, or increasing legitimacy and hurting relations) changes the Meritocracy vs. Patrimonialism.

Since posting I have discovered around ADM tech 10 you get a policy that allows for you to increase a couple fo things every 5 years or so, but I don't really know what any of those modifiers do except for the bureaucracy triggered modifier. That mechanic seems to be broken though because I have increased governability every way I can for almost 100 years and it is at 42 which by 1600 is the size of natives and a couple Africans but everyone else is much larger than that.

How does modernization work? Is it a random change to get +1 after enabling the policy or must you get 100% on modernization rebellion and then it starts?

You have to get the disaster and end it. The disaster lasts 10+ years.
i heard some where that you can trun the ERE hellenic. how do i go about doing that? is that for the base mod or can you do it in GoB
Warlordnipple 30 Dec, 2014 @ 8:43am
@Lord_Commissar_Manslaughter that can only be done in GoB
darkvaris 30 Dec, 2014 @ 10:39am
How do you gain bureacracy? ERE starts out with insufficient bureacracy and I see no way of increasing it.

You have to get ADM tech to 10 and then a policy appears that allows it to be increased via event about every 5 years. The policy makes advisors cost +50% so right now as any large country that can expand easily and will not have colonies it probably does not make any sense

Is there a way to reduce war exhaustion? I looked in the mod wiki and did not find anything, if it is in the wiki let me know what section.

How do I raise my province limit? I have "insufficient bureocracy" after integrating a rather large vassal.

Not sure if this is the place, but why did you guys do the change with North Africa? It looks....wierd..... Also if you guys are going to do the Niger River to what it is, are you guys planning to implement that in other places like the Chang Jiang River and the Yellow River in China? (these two rivers played major roles in china's kingdom's histories)

@Jack399 you can only reduce war exhaustion with ideas, some leader traits, and the main way is to be at peace. It reduces by -.10 while at peace. If you war constantly then you should pick up one of the ideas that reduces it otherwise you have to wait for peace usually.

@NumberSmith This is the last time I am going to bother answering this because it is the question I asked at the top and no one has bothered to read that I have already answered it twice. Get ADM tech to 10 and a policy appears that once activated allows you to increase bureaucracy every 5ish years, the policy is incredibly expensive so unless you are one of the Western Europeans who will have most of your power coming from colonies the policy will not ever let you fix the insuffecient bureaucracy modifier. I have had the policy activated as soon as I got ADM 10 as byzantium in regular game start and am nowhere near the level I need to get rid of the triggered modifier.
