Surface Scanning causes serious lag
Maybe it's just me, and my low end computer, after disabling the smoke, the 3DMG became almost usable, but as I'm moving I notice the target square goes insane trying to keep up with nearby surfaces. I'm well used to the older mod, that isn't this awesomely dynamic, so I am used to snapping my mouse to where I want to hit.

I'm fairly certain it's not how fast I'm moving, since I use parkour 1.7.4 and tend to fly around Bigcity using it in singleplayer, but it could be the physics in place with the hooks. I'm not for certain, but I'd still like to know if there's a way to disable the auto-aiming hook feature by preference.

And I mean the targetting box as well if that can be helped, that thing bouncing all over the place is very distracting.

The lag's almost certainly from the aim assist--it's by far the most resource hungry bit of the mod (except for the smoke, I guess.) I'm working on adding config for the aim assist for next version--though I can't really offer speculation on that'll be, since I've been a lot busier all of a sudden. There's not really much way around it right now, short of extracting the .gma and tinkering with the Lua yourself.

Thanks for at least confirming my assumption. My only request would be to make the aim assist optional, it seems the hooks can follow the crosshair on it's own anyways, so It doesn't seem as necessary as it is convenient for speed and ease of use.

Lag aside, the auto aim has also not done me any favors of where it decides to connect to automatically. With as many times as I've hit a wall since both hooks decided that'd be the best place to hit, I might as well have just been using parkour, which I did when that happened. xP

I don't blame your auto aim system for doing it's job though, just save it for preference if possible.
