Stop Rotor on High Solar Power Output
7thCore 14 Nov, 2016 @ 11:09am
Caught exception Error
Hi, i'm using your solar script and it works great. Until i get an error in the programmable block and it shuts down. I only modified it to work on one axis because i landed on the south pole.

The error:
Caught exception during execution of script: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

I noticed that the error occours when the power level of the solar panel being monitored is above the HighPwrValue setting (in my the script default 119.1f) if i set it to 120f the script works but the rotor is always running because it's trying to tune it to the 120kW it is set to.

I hope you can solve this. If you need a world file let me know.

Thanks!

Disable duplication

Sry for the late reply. Disabled duplication and it works now. Thanks

I'm having the same issue, but I've already disabled the Duplication script as far as I can tell. Not particularly proficient with programming but I can change arguments and integers.

I was testing some automation on miners as well so there is some local traffic, nothing near the panels though. There was my first test on the base and the second one behind it in case the base was effecting it. I was in creative mode but I don't think that would effect a basic numeric query.

Even though it's throwing the exception, I'm not 100% sure it's not working. My panel finally started tracking the sun but only as it crossed the horizon. So testing is on hold until it comes up. The reason is, if I can get it working on the ground, then getting it working in the air should be simple.

I am currently going over your test ship parked next to the base. I really can't see the difference in the script aside from the fact that the ship uses a slightly different layout and still includes the timer lines.

works when disabling light triggering
