Stop Rotor on High Solar Power Output
Joe 18 Nov, 2015 @ 3:58pm
Rotation stopping due to programming block naming solar panel incorrectly
https://youtu.be/mkXnLipdIA0

I was having trouble following the conversation in the main thread, figured this would be a bit easier.

As I said the timer is being set by the programmer block to 8 seconds.

Any idea why it wouldn't be naming the panel correctly? Once the name is above HighPwrValue, it stops completely regardless of the solar panel's actual output.

All good :) Thanks for looking at it

Same issue here, in my case it works perfectly in singleplayer with monoaxis, but the same building (same blueprint) in same position (north pole) in multiplayer doesn't work. The name of solar panel is always NameofSolarPanel:119.27 even with less energy output. Dedicated server bug I guess.
Thanks for this amazing script, anyway.

I'm not sure if i have the same problem, but it seems that once the output is higher than the one on you setup in the script (119.2) the whole thing stops working.
It even shows an error message in the programmable block:

What did you set it to? Tried a higher value without failure. Can you screenshot the configuration?

It seems the error message appears as soon as the output has been reached.
In this case the setting was 110

As soon as the solar output is more than the highpwrvalue, the block throws the error message.

Can I have a blueprint? That was a low rotor speed btw.

Here is the blueprint of the setting.

The low rotation speed works fine. If it is faster it will spin left and right all the time to fast. Tryed different settings, and i dont know any reason why it should be faster than 0.1 ;)

You had rotor duplication turned on.
Happy new year. This script is now one year old.

Oh... i totally forgot about that... Happy new year to you too.
Thanxs for helping. It has worked until the latest patch for me ;)
