Maybe they could be shiny, plastic like versions of the original Five Nights at Equestria Models, or shiny, plastic like versions of just the original characters. Well the characters would be edited to have the characteristics of the toy robots of course.

or maybe like the toy and the puppet and balloon boy is the same

I like this idea but I always imagined it going somewhat more like

Sunset Shimmer = Toy Bonnie

??? = Toy Chica

Surprise = Toy Freddy

(Still have no idea who Toy Chica should be, but I dont agree with Sweetie belle being toy Chica, maybe if there where a toy BB or if Balloon Girl where actually in the game Sweetiebelle could take that posittion, however I have to agree that at the moment Surprise as Toy Freddy seems like the best idea to me, I originally thought of a few different characters that could be Toy Freddy but none of them seemed like they would work as well as surprise.)

Eh, I think we where looking for more canon characters rather than OC's, also about my previous comment. I completely changed my mind. Trixie would make a better Toy Bonnie, while Sunset Shimmer could be a Springtrap. Not only do the colors match each pairing but also Sunset Shimmer is a magic user who was a student of Celestia before Twilight, much like how Springtrap is a bunny animatronic from the original location before Bonnie was introduced to the Fazbear name. This also works in a very similar manner for the Toy Bonnie to Trixie pairing.
