An asteroid (Or any other space debris) has hit part of the ship. causing all physics objects to gravitate to that spot and be sucked out. Repair could be done with... forcefields? (Add a button to enable a shield or something, just throwing something out there <3)
I had an idea like this, but I was afraid of the effects it could possibly have on the lighting.. I ended up never trying it, but I'll try this one.
Thanks
Idea Contents Use different textures for the walls. I recommend one of the Combine metal wall textures.
Reason for Creation: The map, as-is, only uses one texture for everything besides windows, buttons, and doors. More textures would break up the monotony and make it look better.
Idea Contents: An airlock that can open. There would be 2 ways to open them. Just instantly opening them or depressurizing/pressureizing. Instanly opening them would suck everything out, like Wraith suggested. If you choose to depressurize/pressureize, you would enter the airlock and will either depressureize or pressureize you. There could be many ideas with this, such as space station stops, ship jacking, etc.
Reason for creation: It'd add alot more creativity and immersion.
I like it..
@CubicApocalypse
I went through at least 10 different texture schemes for the map, and this one looked the best.
Regardless, thanks for keeping the 's and 's.
@hubster
Sorry, but I already tried this. The lighting in the skybox and putting a ship in it was too hard.
I don't really like the combine metal texture with blue streaks, but I like the cubed metal on the reactor ladder. Adding that now.
Event Name: The Watcher
Event Contents: At a random interval after leaving hyperspace, a GIANT ALIEN EYE flicks open in the dark. It stares down at the ship, silently, before closing and disappearing as if it was never there.
Illuminati reference much?
IDEA: More rooms
IDEA CONTENTS: adding more rooms and such to make the map bigger/funner (more fun?).
REASON FOR CREATION: Again, I didn't spen much time looking around, but it seemed like there wasn't much to explore. I know it's probably hard to build these maps, but I think that it. could be a lot better with more rooms, walks, ect. ect.
I still think this is a super cool map, just a little small that's all.
