They recently changed some stuff for mod configs, and I think that's breaking it. That crash should definitely not be happening according to the mod's code... You can try deleting the mod config data for it, which should be this file:
Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether/save/mod_config_data/modconfiguration_workshop-378160973

Deleted that file and re-enabled the mod. Everything seems to be working fine now, thank you for the help!

Yeah, the game has a bug in the mod config options that show up on the right. I talked with the devs and it'll be fixed in the next hotfix, which I guess will be Monday.

It's a mod config bug in the game as a whole now. You can get around it by letting it use the default configuration, but the bug should be fixed in Monday's hotfix.

Specifically, the bug in the game is on line 165 of scripts/screens/modconfigurationscreen.lua. If you remove ", hover=v.hover" towards the end of the line, this will be fixed.

Haha, no problem, it happens. Anyway, the game just updated and it should've fixed this bug. So yay!

I was host and I was only playing with 1 friend. We both only had global positions on. We started the game and as soon as we walk to far away from each other, this would happen. We both deleted and redownloaded the mod, but nothing changed. We were playing survival with PvP off. Our mod settings...
Show Players: Never
Show Fires: Always
Share Map: Enabled
Wilderness Override: Disabled
