Little help, please... thanks. Can't download.
Hello. So, this is not my first mod, but for some reason I can't download this. I subscribed but the game doesn't seem to download anything, which means that, when I rename the original "simulations" file, the game just stops working.

Could you please help me with this?

Also, even though I use a lot of mods just fine, there is a small number that will give me the same problem (i.e., they just don't download). Is it a common problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I opened the discussion on this specific mod because I love the idea behind it and I would love to use it.

Let's try a simple thing first, I've kinda worked with Gikgik for a while on modding (not really). Try deleting the mod_status and mod_dates in the Democracy 3 folder My Games folder found in My documents.

Also, thanks for replying so fast.

I read that around the web and I tried it, but it doesn't seem to work. It worked with a couple more mods (Consumer Spending, for example) that didn't seem to download before, but I can't find C&D lite and Democracy Lite yet.

Have you tried this yet?

Be aware, this mod dosen't change much, it only cleans up some superfolus icons.

Oh yeah, about that, I was going to ask: I have to make the original vanilla simulation file unreadable to the game... but wouldn't that cause a pretty huge crash? Still, if you say so, I'm going to try... I hadn't thought about this before, but maybe the mod contains a copy of a slightly different simulation file?

It has a diffrent sim file that it will look for, since the mod will tell the game "hey, if you can't find it there, try over here instead". It should work properly, since it works for me.

It was weird. It kind of worked after I removed a couple of overrides. Still, thank you! You were really helpful.
