+1 I would like to know what is the location of the Persistent Save location :)

Its in your documents folder in the Arma 3 - Other Profiles\username.vars.Arma3Profile file.

example c:\users\[user]\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\[a3 user]\[a3 user].vars.Arma3Profile

so you can copy that file and send it to your friend and he has to rename (and overwrite) it to his a3profile to work. I think you will loose your personal garage though... as that is stored localy in your vars file.

@barbolani can you confirm if this explanation is true (this is just a cleaned up version of mike187's response):

It is located in Arma 3 - Other Profiles\username.vars.Arma3Profile file. For example, c:\users\[user]\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles\[a3 user]\[a3 user].vars.Arma3Profile
If you would like to transfer this save to another computer it should work if you overwrite the other persistent save file. However, since the personal garage is stored in a local VARs file you will lose any data associatd with that.

If that sounds right i'll throw it into the FAQ and credit mike.

I was curious if doing a singleplayer after MP on a dedicated server would write over my MP server save, or if they have sepereate save locations/files?

You can move saves to a dedicated server as I've previously had success there, mind posting the full command line you're using to launch the server and whether it's Linux or Windows?

I realize this is an old thread but I can't seem to find any other recent answers, is this still possible? Maybe with the community version as that's being actively worked on?

As far as I know this thread is still accurate - worth starting a new one if you have trouble (drop a comment here if you want to let us know)

I want to make sure it's correct before i mess up something. The only file i need to backup for map is My documents/Arma3/Saved/steamMPMission/kp_steam_cli_[Timestamp]_Antistasi-Altis-2-5-4.altis ?
My gear is stored in the files in Arma3 with the extension [Username].Arma3Profile?
So a backup of both of those files would make me able to play on another computer right?

In theory, yes, but it would be a good idea to copy the files to another computer and test that everything works before erasing your current system/files (if possible).

Thanks, I can confirm the map worked but I am not sure which files contain currently equipped gear etc. in Arma3profile-files.

Necroing because to me is the default profile folder, not the "other profile".
Also Google took me here (2nd suggestion, first one was the same on Reddit).

So default is:
C:\Users\[user]\Documents\Arma 3\[profile-name].vars.Arma3Profile

Go into your Douments folder and you find the Arma 3 folder.
