2 Evil Eyes
Kyle's Review of "Two Evil Eyes" - 2/5
A frustrating prototype of a better future. 2/5 stars.

Reviewing Two Evil Eyes is a bit strange knowing that the author's second campaign, Cold Stream, was added to the game officially. It almost feels pointless to criticize this campaign knowing that all of my problems would be addressed later, but since a lot of curious people will probably play this anyway, here's what you're getting into.

2EE achieves basic competence in the sense that everything works as intended, but the level design isn't player friendly. There are lots of "cheap shots," zombie spawns are high, and supplies are low. Where 2EE really falters is in its theming, though. Every map is EXTREMELY lacking in detail and visual flair, and they all blend together quickly. I kinda like the finale, at least!

I'm not even that big a fan of Cold Stream, but I think it's undeniable that it looks and plays better than 2EE in every way. This campaign is more of a historical curiosity than anything, so play it at your own risk.

This one deserves it, it's nothing but hordes on hordes for "progression" the same ♥♥♥♥ that Cold Stream also has, it's like Matt learned NOTHING from making this.
Open door, fight a horde, enter a room, fight a horde, pickup a first aid kit, fight a horde, climb into a treehouse, fight a tank, all of the crap 2 Evil Eyes has are present in Cold Stream!
