since its a drill I guess it would make sense that it did more damage than the stock wrench or that the weapon fired faster but i don't know...
any other ideas?

Maybe because its a drill it would be harder to build. But better at breaking things to get more metal. Also some ideas from Anater above are good.

+25% Construction Time (Slower)
+50% More Metal Form Weapons and Buildings
-10% Movement speed when holding buildings (On top of the normal decrease in speed)
+10% Damage
+20% Firing Speed

For me is the tip of the drill that might need some "Sharpnes"
could you make the tip like a knife?

The leat they can do is the stats being same as Gunslinger. I dont have any ideas for original sats tho :<

i'll give it my take

pro :
+60 health
+when hitting an ennemy, damage dealt is converted into metal
+Damage dealt is continuous, like a contact flamethrower

cons :
-No other weapons when equipped
-Uses metal

This item will envoke battle Engineering, so it must have stats that go with it.

Increased Melee Range
+50 Max Health on wearer
+20% Damage to buildings
+5 Seconds Bleed Damage on Hit
+25% Health from Medpacks

+20% Explosive Damage Vulnerability on Wearer
-No Construction PDA
-10% Slower Heal Rate from Medics/Dispenser
-15% Slower Swing Speed

+ Deals continual damage as long as you hold down attack
+25% Resistance to explosions
- on miss lose 5 metal
-25% slower build time
-50% slower upgrade rate
-if you miss with lower than 5 metal, hit yourself and take bleed damage

+minicrits from behind
+50% damage to buildings
+20% metal & ammo from ammo packages
+25 health
+right click makes it spin (similar to heavy's minigun)
-when spinning: -15% movement speed
-10% health from health packages
-consumes 5 metal / second when spinning
-spinning w/o metal drains health instead
-can't upgrade buildings

-normally the wrench repair a maximum 40 metal,this drill will repair in a very fast rate (because can drill forever,without the breath moment between attacks) BUT the maximum metal he can repair is ...i dont know... maybe 13 ?
+u can hit the enemy in a very fast rate,dealing 3-10 (?) damage per second (like short circuit)

Continual damage similar to Minigun/Flamethrower
Pros:
+20% Damage to buildings
+50% Metal from destroyed buildings
Causes bleed damage for 5 seconds

Cons:
Slow spin up time/Loud spin
-25% build/repair time
+30% fire vulnerability whilst spinning

Maybe require 5 metal per second to use, with possible hidden effect of increased damage longer it is kept spinning, at the cost of metal. I like the can't upgrade buildings idea previously mentioned.

This May Sound Stupid but heres my idea:

Props:
40% more health
20% more damage
200% more Building Damage
Cons:
Not able to build sentrys ( dispensers and teleporters not included)
- 20% movement speed
- 10% Upgrade Rate
+ 30% Slower Building Rate

the idea behind this is since you usualy dont can build with a driller you will have to be agressive with it like the BigDaddy From Bioshock
