Persian Province Names Suggestions
As my shedule is starting to clear up and family emergencies are beginning to die down, I'm going to start working on Parsian countries again soon(TM). Until then I'm accepting suggestions for Persian and Chinese province names. Reply down below if you know any good place names.

china why china? thats a new one. did you drop the turks?... right! you want names well let me think..... how about calling the new persian capital Ctesiphon

I already have names for the capitals, I just need names for everyone else.

As for China... well, we'll just say all will be revealed in time. And yes, New Ctesphon is one of the new capital names.

Asoristan was the name of the province that Ctesiphon was located in, so perhaps name the region Asoristan with the capitol being New Ctesiphon?

Aside from that, I have a few suggestions: Essentially copying provincial/city names, with a 'new' or whatever Farsi equivalent tacked on to there like what happens to a fair number of Elysian provinces (Nea Athenai, Alexandria, etc.), perhaps things like 'Yazd' and 'Nishipur' and 'Dihistan.' Perhaps name a couple things after Sassanid rulers (Like the 'Belisarius Valley' region in Elysia), maybe 'Anushirvan' after Khosrau I or 'Azarethes,' whom Wikipedia tells me defeated Belisarius.

My two cents, at any rate.
Gundishapur (Was the seat of Khosraus academy)

As two of the largest and most historically relevant cities in China are Beijing and Nanjing which literally mean Northern Capital and Southern Capital, a huge city for the Chinese state could be called Dongjing, or Eastern Capital

i should clear up the whole Persian Names request, I could use either Shia-themed names or Zoroastrian-themed names in addition to generic Persian names.
I have one. Miwok (San Francisco) would be called Azura Mahda[sic], named after the Zoroastrian prophet.

@ilikeparadox

First of all, the Zoroastrian prophet was Zarathustra (or Zoroaster to the Greeks) hence Zoroastrianism. Ahura Mazda was the Zoroastrian God.

Second of all, I already have a name for San Fran, it shall be called Shahistan, and be home to the (♥♥♥♥♥♥) realm of the same name.

I also have a name for the Arayan (Zoroastrian) Capital, it shall be called New Ctesphon.
Oh. Ok, so the Zoroastrians arrive in Peru then? Fair enough.

As for chinese, could you tell me which culture? Is it just generic chinese names, or is there a specific culture?
RedInc 21 Mar, 2016 @ 4:30am
@haxorus29 I'm not very knowlegable about differing Chinese cultures, so generic or a coastal culture whichever you prefer.

Dongjing as the capital name and Donghan as the culture name (Or maybe Handong).

Dong is east, Jing is capital and Han is the chinese name for the cultural group.

For the Chinese new world nation I would suggest Penglai or Pengshan. Elysia is the haven for the dead located on the western edge of the world in Greek mythology. In a similar vein, Penglai/Pengshan is the residence of the gods and the immortals, sitting on the eastern edge of the world according to ancient Chinese mythology. Allegedly several powerful Chinese emperors (including the first emperor of China) had even send expedition eastward to try and find the secret of immortality.
Isn't New Ctesiphon a bit straightforward name? To correspond with the name of the mod you could use something like Garodman (lit. house of song - Pahlavi name for paradise) or Wahisht (the same meaning).
