Wonderful Units

fictional wonder units.
I think a good idea for unique wonder units that can only built once are fictional ones based off mythology, stories, and pop culture.

Like for example Chuck Norris who would be a rediciously overpowered unit able to do nuke like destruction by punching the ground and can do it multible times and lacks the nastiness of fallout.

For those who love lightning and mythology i propose Thor who is like a less powerful Chuck Norris who has less shockwave radius from his mjonir strikes but costs less than Norris.

Another unit i'm proposing is Rainbow Dash who can make multible interceptions per turn and can kill foes with the shockwave of her sonic rainboom, however since Chuck Norris "fists make the speed of light wish that it was faster" Chuck Norris can run circles around Rainbow Dash even when she is flying at mach 10. Also gives a culture bonus from her cuteness which she manages to pull of while being the tough tomboy that she is.

hmm... or the carrier from Carrier Command Gaea Mission which can launch tacticle nukes, create tanks / aircraft, and take over outposts (cities) without them being destroyed :D.
or ofcourse you could have link from legend of zelda which rektz all the things with a sord.

I don't really like fictional units in Civ 5, but since there aren't really much units in the future era it could add some new spice into the late game!
Im thinking about it, depending on balancing and ideas i need your help in this case :)

another mod already did it.
Why not do something like the Gleiphner from AcecombatX?

I was going to say that you should implement some more modern/post-modern units but it seems you beat me to it, was going to suggest something like a super soldier, or a mech suit sort of thing like the death robot but not as slow and large. Or a powerful "tower" unit, that is good at holding the line, but has to take longer to deploy than artillery.

How about spider mechs like the ones from Red Alert 3 with the the ability to jump 2 tiles?
Or a unit that could carry invantry overseas (more than one unit of course)?
(I'm sorry if I said something incorrectly)

we need the prototype Landkreuizer to be in the game as a very late era battle tank. later than the Maus though.

How about the space marines from Warhammer 40K? They would be a VERY late game unit, and when creating one it takes a lot of production to complete one as a way to balance out its effectiveness on the battlefield.

Strength- 80

Movement- 4 tiles

HP (health)- 120
I like "original" units
How aout units based on units form other games and original ideas instead of units from other games?
And because these units would be like wonders, we could give them special activable abilities

I think that the Fire Nation Drill from Avatar: The Last Airbender would make an interesting unit in the game. It could have a high defense and destroy one defensive building per turn. It would not damage the city itself but make the city more vulnerable to other units' attacks. In order to attack, it would have to be adjacent to the city. Maybe it could also have only a 1 or 2 tile per turn movement to simulate its sheer size and balance out its abiltiy.

The Driller
1 Movement
+500% increased effectiveness against cities
-50% effectivness against melee units
80% resistance to ranged

This is meant to kill cities and should be a around the invention of steam and balenced around then as a very powerful seige unit. Though should loose power versus tanks and infinatry of a later era.

What if the Driller was like an special great general that could grant bonusses when attacking cities with walls?

this is about wonder units, not great units... plus a great unit of that would be uhm... exactly what i want! except you know :P i want it to attack by itself

What I'm saying is "what if the driller would act as a great general that could grant big bonusses against cities with walls?"... Or maybe a siege unit that you had to (I can't remember the word) to start drilling (building an special improvement on a tile next to a city that would greatly decrease the defense of the city) I'm saying this because if you want to attack cities it might end up throwing stuff instead of "drilling".
