Dedicated Server Branch?
I would like to run this mission on my dedicated coop server, is this even possible yet? If so, how would I do this?

Hey Third Eye. This is currently not supported. The main problem is that DUWS was never originally designed to be run on a dedicated server. I've tried to work with the a branch that was created "way back" by another early contributor but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. Here's where I need to apologize in advance because I'm about to high-jack your post :-D.

I know dedicated server support is something that is requested by many players of the mod so it is definitely on the radar. The problem lies in that the team supporting DUWS-R is currently two people, both of which are not very experienced with SQF. This means that complicated features, or at least complicated to us, take longer than they should. I'm not trying to skirt the question but rather be open and honest.

All that said, we are working on DUWS-R in the open and anyone is welcome to attempt to add features. If you're interested in working on that feature I fully support you and will make any effort to help where I can. I can help with git, our source control mechanism. SQF, debugging it, and anything around it is still a trial-by-fire process for some of us.

Couldn't any abilities that would of previously been granted to the host be given to someone logged into admin? I remember running a Wasteland mission that had this sort of thing built in.

That may be possible or it may not be possible. One thing to remember is that SQF is a proprietary scripting language to BI. If I recall correctly the engine that the Arma series uses is proprietary to BI where Wasteland 2 used the Unity engine. The only reason I mention that is because the two APIs are different :-)

Wasteland as in the mission type for ARMA, not the game.

Ha, I didn't know that. I stand corrected. Thank you.

Just at a cursory glance at https://wasteland.arma.su/ and https://a3cdn.com/ there may be a difference in that DUWS-R is a mission and wasteland looks like a mod. I can dig into that as I get time.

I know that the old =SEALZ= Wasteland ran on ARMA 2 OA had a admin menu that could be accessed through a certain keypress. But, forget about that, you're hooked on the whole wasteland thing, that is not important.

What I'm getting to is, if someone logs into admin in the server while DUWS-R is running you could set it up so the user presses U or P it will open a menu for mission settings. You could also give any host permissions to the admin too.

Any news on DS?

Would be greatly appreciated. Friends and I do not like playing this because one person has to suffer through the performance hit.
