What i think should be the stats of this weapon
honestly im looking at this weapon and im seeing alot of illogical stats on the discussions.
this bow has an explosive tip (of sorts) and a jarate canister with a red wire looking thing attached to that. (notice how the rocket and wire sort of connect when the bow is drawn?)

these are the stats i want to see..

+ arrows can be detonated in mid-air for a jarate explosion
+ jarate can extinguish flaming teammates and cause mini-crits on enemies coated (this shouldn't be a stat, but a reminder to those who don't know the full effects of jarate)
- 15% to 35% damage reduction to all shots OR 35% - 50% extended drawback time (leave valve to decide that percentage)

the way this would work, would be like the detonator flare gun for the pyro. the pyro can still shoot projectiles, and can still light enemies on fire without detonating that flare. however with the detonator he has that added choice of exploding the flare in air with right click.

i want this bow to work the same way. you can hit enemies with it like a normal huntsman bow, but with reduced damage / drawback time (to balance things, we can just say the explosion is heavy, not aerodynamic or doesnt allow as deep penetration as a normal arrow) however, with this bow you can detonate that explosive bomb at the tip of the arrow WHILE THE ARROW IS STILL FLYING AND IN MID-AIR. THAT MEANS NO STICK TO WALL BULLCRAP (unless valve would like to allow snipers to set a jarate trap at enemy spawns or chokepoints, similar to a manual mine)

so if you detonate this arrow in mid air, it will coat nearby enemies in a small radius with jarate. and if there are flaming teammates? put them out. it can even coat enemies spies, making spy detection easier for a sniper, since jarate is the best you got.

now after you detonate your jarate arrow and coat enemies, you can sling another arrow at their face, and the mini-crit will make up for that damage reduction. and will provide great support for your team too. firing jarate bombs in capture points or something.

this is also well balanced because a sniper simply couldnt fire an arrow at his feet or something to soak himself in piss to extinguish pyro flames. he himself is vulnerable without a jarate jar, so this weapon does not render the jarate jar useless, as you might assume. plus the jarate jars radius might be twice, or even three times as big as this weapons detonation radius.

take some time to go over this stat suggestion, i dont want to seem stuck-up or a perfectionist but this suggestion might be better than most already thrown into this discussion. :supplies:
