Mothership missiles and mines??

How do I defend against cruiser/viper missiles and nukes/roller mines?? none of my ships shoot at them and the AI is using them to destroy all my cap ships before I can even do anything with them.

fast tracking turrents counter missiles and roller mines - just build some of these on your cap ships and you will be fine ;) shields are also a way of defense
