Mission 1 guide.
This is a guide for mission 1 of the evo campaign.

It can seem overwhelming at first but it is manageable, although it can take some time to wait for ships to slowly move from one area of the map to another (there is a partial solution for this below).

At the start, build 10 resource collectors and 2 refineries, keep your carrier near the closest asteroids with a harvest control module. Once the collectors and refineries are established, begin sending the carrier towards the radiation cloud on evasive tactics. As you get RUs, build a drive system, a fighter facility, 7 interceptors (keep them docked on the carrier) and 4 rapid sweepers.
At some point you will reach the RU cap, build RU supplys and containers on the carrier to ensure that you are never wasting RUs.

Once the Turanics attack, stop the carrier, set it to aggresive and launch interceptors. Let the interceptors target whatever they want but be sure to start docking them as soon as their health reaches yellow, wait for them to be repaired fully and launch them again. Order the carrier to target first the missile corvette and then focus it against the bombers.
When the fight is over, set the carrier to evasive, move it towards the marked point, replace the rapid sweepers with kinetic turrets, retire your interceptors and build 7 bombers (remember to always keep them docked).

When the ion array frigates arrive, launch bombers, set them to aggresive and sphere formation and attack the frigates one by one with both them and the carrier (which should also be on aggresive). Depending on the difficulty, one of the frigates might attack the carrier instead of the mothership, destroy it first.
At this point, you will probably reach the next rank. Build a corvette facility and six gunships.

As the scaffold arrives, hyperspace the carrier near the Turanic mothership and launch gunships. Order them to target enemy fighters (if the enemy launches guardians destroy them first) while the carrier starts to fire on the mothership.
Depending on the difficulty, the enemy might build some frigates to attack the carrier, launch bombers to take them out quickly.
If the gunships start to take heavy damage, dock and repair them.
Once you reach the next rank, build a frigate facility and 4 torpedo frigates and set them to attack the mothership alongside your carrier.
After destroying the Turanic mothership, send your frigates and gunships (dock them with the perimeter station if neccesary) to on top of the dust cloud near the center of the map, retire your bombers and hyperspace the carrier towards the edge of the hyperspace anomaly.

Set the carrier to evasive and move towards the marked position. As soon as the core appears, quickly dock it with the carrier and move outside the anomaly. Once you reach the edge of the radiation, you can hyperspace out towards the mothership and scaffold, and launch the core.

After the mothership launches, you will have to do many things simultaneously:
-Build a research center and research pulsar fighters with rocket missiles.
-Move the carrier near the resource operation, launch and reitre any previously built containers.
-Launch the support module inside the carrier and dock it on the motehrship.
-Build drive system and defence control tower on the mothership.
-Research max engine and armor upgrades for the mothership.
-Retire all modules on the carrier except for fighter facility and harvest control module.
-Build 7 pulsar fighters from the carrier and send them towards your frigates.
-Research at least up to level 4 power upgrades.
-Build 4 support modules and 7 patchers and keep them docked inside the mothership.
-Build thermodynamic system on the mothership.

As soon as the convoy appears, send all your fighters, corvettes and frigates to it. Retire the carrier and any remaining modules on it.
When the keeper drones attack the convoy, repel them with your combat ships (remember to fire rocket missiles as much as possible and order your frigates to keep moving alongside the convoy while attacking.
Once the keeper destroyer jumps near the mothership, send your torpedo frigates and pulsar fighters (with rockets) to attack it.
After the destroyer and all drones are destroyed, dock your resource collectors and all remaining combat ships inside the motehrship. Retire the refinaries and any combat ships as necessary to store at least 4000 to 6000 RUs. Set the mothership to passive and evasive.

As soon as the planet's detonation cutscene has finished, immediately send the motehrship to the dust cloud near the center. Disable sensors and navigation lights on the mothership.
Move towards the marked objective while staying inside the dust cloud as much as possible to keep detectability below 40.
While you move, the motehrship will take damage from the high temperature but this should be self repaired quickly thanks to the armor upgrades and support modules.
Once you reach the point of damage outpacing the self repair, build the heat shield (you should have enough energy to reach the objective with the shield on). Once it is built, research Lv1 heat shield upgrade (Lv2 if you have enough RUs).

And with that, you have reached the end of the level. Thank you for reading if you got this far.
Unfortunately, there are a few sections where you are stuck just waiting for a slow ship to move a long distance (especially near the end). The mod FX Galaxy has a time compession feature that can be implemented into other mods by playing them using an ingame profile created in FX Galaxy.

Overall, while I enjoyed playing both missions, there are a lot of things that could be improved on the campaign.
I don't know if I will make a guide for mission 2 but the things that you researched and built following this guide, should give you a good starting position for it.

I apologize for any misspellings or anything that wasn't conveyed clearly.
I'll be happy to answer any questions below.

Have a good day.

A few things.... people are having problems trying to defend against the ion cannons.... i was too for awhile until i realised when i 'launch all' i spit out the support module that i need to keep the shields repairing to protect myself from the radiation.... thats a big oversight on the players part and is a cool feature... makes you think... so dont undock that. You need the support module inside the carriers hanger.

I used marine frigates to capture the turanic mothership trying to mine the asteroids,,, so theres that.

one you win the asteroid conflict... you are introduced to fleet upgrades... upgrade your fleet abilities like speed and shields to get in and out of the radiation fields quick... then spend some time on the way back to the mothership (with the core) to mine resources

just rank up before doing anything you get honor for building ships, when your maxed on RU from collectors(10-15) build containers they store 4000 RU by just simply building them and provide 4 exp with somewhere around 10 of them you can retire them for the RU back once your able to make frigates the first mission is a cake walk until the planet explodes. You'll have some much RU left over for the heat shield and upgradefor engines as well as upgrade to unit cap and dmg as soon as you get control of the mothership research the bare minimum and make gunships and bombers get atleast one transport then hyper space to the end obj in the first mission before the planets explodes. make sure to dock everything or youll lose them

I found that when I did this, I essentially locked my progress, as the captured mothership blocked the release of the higaaran mothership as the unit cap has been reached. This was confirmed when I then tried to scuttle the captured mothership, I got a "core accepted by mothership" notification/speech but also lost the mission as my mothership was destroyed.
