Dude, believe me, almost every tf2 player wants more weapons than cosmetics. Cosmetics are easier to make, and are a lot more practical to put onto the workshop than weapons, however. Also, it takes a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of time to test weapons to make sure they are balanced, wheras cosmetics will just be slapped onto an update.

This could be turned into a weapon (like the bootlegger or the wee booties) but i imagine its stats would be different from them.
