All i need i a list of male first names, female first names and a list of last names. Then a small list of regiments and war experience.
The lists can be a simple txt file with a name on each line.
I will add you on steam and make you contributor
Names would be similar to those from Central and South America, with remarkable big exceptions:
-Galician, Catalonian and Basque names/surnames from those regions, apart from Castillian.
War experience? The Spanish Civil War? (1936-39) How old could be the conflict?
EDIT: Oh, I didn't know Spain is in vanilla... gonna chech that and come back if not happy!
Will send a friend request
I think the game picks randomly from a list, but you can trick the game to pick certain name or surname more often by having that name/surname in the list more often.
Example [John, Chad, John, John, John] (as you might imagine you will have a lot more Johns in your team).
Unfortunately now there is a problem with your code as in <Nation MODERMERGE="delete all"> </Nation> in line 3 in your soldiernames.xml and females too. It makes your mod incompatible with other mods that change nations as well - such as a mine, which is a big pity because your work is great!
I wrapped my head around this for 3 hours and after digging in Illunaks documentation, where I think you were inspired by his sound example to use the "deleteall", I found a simple solution:
If you remove the whole line 3 with the "deleteall" command, and replace all your <Nation MODMERGE= "insert" ... with <Nation MODERMGE="replaceinsert" ... your mod becomes compatible and you can get rid of the "deleteall">
I tested it with both our mods active at the same time and can send you your modified file for convenience if you want. Would be great if you could update afterwards so I can enjoy Portuguese and your other nations next to my new Indian (and upcoming Chinese) guys in the same squad.
