Event Suggestions
I'm working on events for the mod - got ideas for some random flavor events? Let's hear them!

What if you add a couple of possible nations like for example paradise falls, underworld, necropolis, The hub, Elija's brotherhood, Big Mountain, Zeta, Chinese remnants in America and American Remnants in china, Gobi campaign remnants, Anchorage remnants, Vault 101 settlements, Megaton, The state of tabitha, The republic of dave, European Commonwealth remnants, Twosuns, Boston, Pitsburg, Tenpenny tower?

It would all be triggered by wars or certain events random or not so random (like for example) Gobi Remnants bid for the mainland! A new faction would show up and try to colonize china or head up to alaska.

I got one for the NCR. The Republic Fractures!
Internal conflicts, weakened the NCR to the point that is no longer a united nation! Many in the wasteland fear for their lives as Ceasars Legion prepare for another push to the west...

The Return of President Eden: News of powered armored soldiers are reported all over the capital wasteland, for the third time since their defeat by the BoS the Enclave with renewed determination storm the capital wasteland. The Brotherhood is mobilizing once again to deal with the "elected" american government.

expand the bother hood: a new random chapter appears on the map of the top of my head we have 3 already

Elija's brotherhood
brotherhood outcast
guardians brotherhood

4 if you use
the circle of steel

another event is one open to everything but the first brother hood
reform the brother hood
is culture brotherhood
has lost hills
brother hood of steel dose not exist
create the brotherhood of steel

just cheep event in case one of the other brother hoods get back in the west after the first brother hood gets eaten by the NCR

You could add a Fallout vibe to the small vanilla EU4 events, f.ex. the pirate event where you can choose either to lose 1 stability and currency or have a lot of debuffs to your country, but this time there are no pirates, instead there are raiders.

Wouldn't it be cool to have events that are tied in with actual Fallout games. Obviously the courier shouldn't determine the full path of events by chance but maybe add events (with a chance of him becoming NCR, pro-Vegas or Caesar's Legion) that follow him. Imagine if playing as the Great Khans (in a game where previous chance events determined that the courier was pro-NCR) an event popped up saying 'A Meeting with the Courier' and there were 3 options:
- Stay with Caesar, +1 Stability, -50 relations with NCR, 10% chance Papa gets assassinated
- Leave Caesar and claim your own legacy, -2 stability, move to Wyoming, +10 NCR relations
If Papa Khan gets assassinated, then the new leader Regis Khan gets an event prompt that comes up where you become allies with the NCR, giving +40 NCR relations and -50 Caesar's Legion relations.

I don't believe that the courier should have the power to completely change the game, like he can in Fallout: NV, so even if the courier is pro-NCR and every event goes in the NCR's favour, Caesar's Legion will be able to win the war. Plus, there will be no ridiculous stuff like 'The Courier has wiped out Red Rock Canyon... For no reason...'. Events like this could be all over, and if earlier start dates, more events concerning the other games can be inclueded.

Events

Big Empty rediscovered: A traveller reports that he was the only survivor of a destroyed caravan near a crater. Apparently it was destroyed by lobotomized humans in robot suits and robotic looking radscorpions. A expedition was sent to the crater only to discover it was a research facility!

Send a a caravan! We must take whatever valuable in there! 500 mil and 750 prestige and 10+ relation with Big Mt.

Destroy it! The inhuman secrets must be contained! You declare war on Big Mt.

We must work with the remnants of the scientist there for a better future! 100+ relation with Big Mt., 500 gold and 100 prestige.

Caesar dies!

The Caesar, leader of the Caesars legion have passed out! The leadership have been ceded to Leagtus Lanius and he now proceeds to reform the Legion in his own images! Rumors are that the Legate are planning to attack the NCR in a push to destroy The Republic once and for all!

We are all gonna die! -2 stability, and -1 tax and -10 army forcelimits

Mobilize we must prepare for the plague! 25% army forcelimits and increased army build

ATTACK! KILL 'EM ALL! You declare war on Caesars legion, 300 prestige and 45% increased forcelimits and morale.

Mutants on Black Mountain!

Supermutants and nighkin, lead by a mysterious woman called Tabitha, on top of Black Mountain have been disrupting trade for a while now and attacking passers-by. Should we deal with it?

Let someone else deal with it... (-5% trade modifier for five years, 75% courier deals with it)
Get rid of them, their radio station is annoying me! (75 bottlecaps, 25% chance of failure)

Some decent ideas, but please keep in mind that the mod takes place after the events of New Vegas, and we don't want to break lore too much. I'm not sure that having the Courier in the events would be a good idea, because we don't really know what happened to him afterwards, so I'm not sure how much leeway I have with that.

You could make more starting points to make more events and stuff.

Sorry, I thought that it was after the First Battle of the Hoover Dam, not the Second one. Surely it would be easier to set it just before New Vegas as at the moment we don't what happened in canon. Who knows if Vegas remained independent, or whether the NCR or Caesar's Legion took it over? In my opinion (it's up to you though), I would set it just after the First Battle of the Hoover Dam.

Well, yes and no. It would be easy to do, but it isn't my place to comment on that. I'm just here to code some events for what the mod is now.

Is there anyway you could talk to them about it? The borders atm are basically what they are at the start of New Vegas, so it would literally involve moving the start date back a few years and having a few tweaks (such as ceding some land of the White Legs to Tar Walkers and Crazy Horns) and that would be that. Just saying this because it's open up plenty of options for events.

ah this could be a disaster but how about some event about exploring vaults
rewords would of course be tax base, or tech points, you know god stuff.
the not so rewording end of the event could be super mutants, raiders, or killer robots taking over the Provence.

I've got some ideas for decisions:

- Unify Brotherhood of Steel (only one BoS remains, controls all chapter capitals)
[+1 Stability +100 of each monarch points]
- California under one rule! (all core region provinces controlled by NCR)
[-0.1 autonomy for 5 years, +100 admin points]
- The Glory of Rome! (NCR is removed off the map, Caesar controls New Vegas)
[50 prestige, +1 stability, +100 monarch points, missionary strength 5% for 10 years]
- One Capital Wasteland (be Megaton or Rivet City, own all Capital Wasteland provinces)
[Become 'The Capitol', +1 stability, -5% tech costs for 50 years]
- Restore the USA! (as Enclave, or nation with American culture, own all important provinces)
[+2 stability, gain claims on all US provinces, +20% tax for 5 years, become Old World Tech
and American Republic if not already Enclave]

How about event chains involving the Crimson Caravan if the NCR expands towards the east about them expanding their trade routes which could end up in 3 ways.

First Ending
the Trade Route expansion is a complete disaster and the Crimson Caravan is temporaly crippled from the loss of what they pored into the expansion and the player has to choose whether or not to help them recoup their losses.
- Help Them Recoup The Losses: lose 50 bottlecaps,10 adm points 5 year 5% Global Trade Power hit.
- Don't Help Them: 10 year 10% Global Trade Power hit.

Second Ending
The Trade Route expansion ends up being a decent investment and The Trade Routes are running fine except for the occasional Raider Attack but are just not being all they were hoped to be (Think Somthing Like the Crimson Caravan Branch in the Mojave more of a mild succees).
- Fair Enough: 50 bottlecaps, 5% Permendent Global Trade Modifier and 10 adm points.

Third Ending
The Trade Route Expansion has proved to be an Exponential succees and is bringing in droves of money and will affect our econamy for the better forever.
- Wonderful!: 100 Bottlecaps, 25 adm points, Permendent 10% Global Trade Modifier and 5% Trade Efficency Modifiers.

There would of course be events in between about clearing out raiders and things like that which would lead to thier specific ending but not always to a set specifc ending like for example if i cleared out all of the Raiders in the area and helped the expansion as much as possible i would most likely get the third ending but i would also have a small chance of getting the second ending and so on and so thorth just to give more variety to the events.
