This is the discussion for map suggestions. I am currently working on Canada & the east of the Mississippi.

well let me go get the stuff i already posted

hmm... well focusing on north american focusing on the north first , the too damn cold point in Canada and most Alaska for colonization point. for what could be up there that besides empty land ,Quebec with french culture (of course once you do that you could make Louisianan have a french based culture). a few more Canadian tribes. for Alaska you could do something interesting i understand your not a fan of adding new nations to the lore so feel free to throw this one to the wolves, but your could have a brotherhood of steel like organization up there. it was full of military personal and they had one of the few oil reserves left, so something like that could have survived up there.

okay i'm done with my thoughts on north north america i'll come back with my thoughts mexico and the Caribbean once i have them gathered.

where do they come from. there a lot of them and they have orders from most likely the enclave (it could be some one else) to keep the capital wasteland lawless, which to me means they come from somewhere else and control large resources. maybe put them to the south our east?

okay i got annoyed by everyone saying you should check out that fallout doomday. so i did my best to fine anything from it that listed nations. this is what i got

soo apparently fallout tactics two would have dealt with gulf cost region... why do i bring that up... we would of had another splinter group of the BoS this time from the Mid west group who were thrown out because there there even more militaristic and oppressive then any other Bos group fighting GIANT HUMANOID CROCODILES.

I think that New Vegas and Shady Sands should be made into important centers of trade or mabye in the case of New Vegas a "The Strip" modifier that gives a tax modifier or something and for The Hub a "Caravans" modifier which would give incresed trade power.

Massachusetts could be expanded to what ever you desire, especially with adding the Institute with large bonuses in tech
I remeber reading something about somesort of North West Federation that takes up most of Alaska, British Columbia, And Yukon territory. I dont know if its cannon or not i did read it on the wiki... I think it would be something to add to the game as an existing nation or a formible nation.

The only evidence I can find after the Texas Expedition is from Van Buren, whose story states that the Legion marches east past Texas. It's up to interpretation as to what happened, but if the Legion got past Texas, they likely won a war/conflict against the Brotherhood and took Texas. Unless I'm missing evidence that proves otherwise, that's the interpretation that I'll use.

Though there should certainly be cores/claims due to the Texas Expedition. I'll readd that.

I proposed the same thing in suggestions thread. I very support idea of giving out a lot of province modifiers to different places, so provices may better represent what place was like in fallout. These are my ideas (sorry for my english, if there are mistakes in disciptions) for province modifiers:

The Hub
"The city of Hub was founded in the middle of wastelands by merchant Angus, city quickly develpoted to become major trading center of post-apocalyptic world. City is situated on intersection of valuable trade routes and is headquarter to some of largest trade companies of west coast, which makes is very rich and influential ."
+30 local trade power
+15% caravan power

Vault City
"This place was founded was result of re-colonization of wasteland by citizens of Vault 8, today city is known for it's major role in produciton of medical suppiles and drugs and best health care in entire wastelands."
+5% manpower recovery rate
+10 local trade power

Gecko
"This ghoul populated town have nuclear power plant, while it's provide a lot of energy which can have major inpact on production, it's high radioactivity makes it unhabitable by human beings, only ghouls can live there, and ghouls are aware of their bizarrness and separation from rest of creatures living in wastelands and have hard time coming into agreement with others."

New Vegas

HELIOS-One

(if you ban slavery and have this province, you should also get tiggered modifier to fix effects of Paradise Falls)

It's no complete list of course, if makers of mod support idea, I will make more of these.
As well as this Jacobstown should have a Supermutant culture and so should other places. As Born to Frag said I think there should be lots of very small provinces to represent the cities, but instead of just completely uncolonised wastes, I'd just have very low basetax provinces in the immediate surrounding area (NCR and Caesar's Legion should be exceptions) with high autonomy (that is a lot harder to get down than in the real EU4). Maybe the trade goods could be changed as well? It would be awesome if say there were cheap Brahmin producing provinces, medium-valued farmlands (that are quite rare) and the occasional high-value trade goods (I know they're not resources but products) like energy in the Helios One province energy weapons in province containing the Gun Runners'.
I think I'm the only one, but I'm not a big fan of the Enclave... Also, the state of New Vegas is too big as some of the provinces within it should be owned, but not cored, by the NCR such as Goodsprings and Helios One.

Trade Centres would be cool, maybe the Pitt (which I think should change to producing steel)? Maybe Gecko should produce Nuclear Energy as its trade good. Maybe the trade nodes should be switched up focusing around California, the Capital Wasteland, the Midwest, the South, and up North.

As well as this, unique tribal nations should have their own culture which is part of the 'Tribal' culture-group. For example the language and customs of the Dead Horses and White Legs are completely different. Talking of the tribes of Zion, I think the Sorrows and the Dead Horses should be a bit smaller considering that they only live in Zion Canyon, while the White Legs should just be reaching on to New Canaan and Salt Lake and be a bit smaller.

Can different nations have terra incognita?
- The West doesn't know about the East, apart from the BoS knowing about the Eastern Chapter
- Midwestern Chapter is half-known by everyone, and it knows only about the West Coast
- Ronto is unknown by everyone apart from the Enclave, the Pitt and the Commonwealth
- Same for the Enclave (although I support removing them or making them just in Chicago)
- Caesar's Legion knows little apart from the near parts of the NCR and surrounding area
Provinces:

- Commonwealth to cover just Massachusetts
- No Enclave, apart from station in Chicago
- BoS Midwest chapter to have high autonomy to reflect their lack of numbers
- White Legs smaller ranging from the Great Salt Lake to West Nevada and just down to Zion
- New 80s tribes off the east of White Legs
- Great Khans moved to new Red Rock Canyon province, with core on Bitter Springs
- Removal of Great Khans up north and change to 'Tribal' culture group
- Shi made an OPM in San Fransisco
- NCR owns LA, but Adytum has a amall province right to the south
- Again, Helios One is owned, but not cored, by NCR
- Bitter Springs is owned by NCR
- Can you make the provinces more circular?

Trade Goods:

- The Pitt produces Steel
- Boston creates AI
- Vault CIty has medical aid
- Helios One and Gecko create energy

another way to look at it is the brother of Texas was pushed out of the region back to the mid west where they will wait till that region is returned though the help of the midwest...

or they could have moved the capital further south in Texas after they lost that land but i more for the first one

Timeline:

2209: Attis is killed. The Texas Expedition ends with a Brotherhood victory. A new branch of the Brotherhood is created inside Texas (presumably).

2272: Battle of Hoover Dam ends with a NCR victory. After this defeat, the Legion marches east past Texas.

Either:

A - Some time between 2209 and 2272, the Legion and the Texas Brotherhood have a conflict, with a Legion victory.

B - With the Legion's march east, they conflict with the Texas Brotherhood to get through Texas, also with a Legion victory.

if you could can you add china and russia becouse that is the 3 powers that clahed that formed the wasteland and maybe add a changing map that evolves with the story as missions with the courior or the charechter in fallout3 and maybe we could add the US goverment but as a weak single provence since the nuking also and problaby add most of the vaults and have +30 fort defence since it is a vault and i would highly recomend adding the lucky 38 to new vegas or as a special building you can build ony as new vegas
