I agree with OP, I think it's a tadd unessecary, and it's so cute it doesn't match the art-style at all.

Even though Valve probably will not add this, it doesn't match the art style perfectly, I still want to know where I can downlaod this couriers assests so I can have it client side. I want it even if other people cannot see it.
