Name change?
I think it would be better if this item was named 'The Crow Basher' or something simlar, it sounds slightly better than 'The Freeman's Friend' in my personal opinion.

It's sort of similar to crow bar, I was thinking it could be something like 'The Crow Whacker' or 'The Crow hitter' but 'basher' is the best I can think up of.

Why not call it "Ol´trusty" or something like that. Which indicates that it is an old friend returning?

nope. It's clearly a play on Fishermans friend, and also suits the subject matter...who else is more closely identified with a crowbar than the Freeman?
