About the dragging I can agree with you. But about no overlay active, I feel it a bit excesive and could be "dangerous" for the autosaving concept.
For me, and I guess for most of the users that use an autosave mod, the fact of having a small freeze during the game is a tiny inconvenient vs the fact to lose your game because there's a crash, electricity fail or something like that.
So we can polish the mod and try to make it less annoying, but we can't make it disappear.
I have no problems at all with the autosave waiting until I am not doing something like making roads or something :)
So, when the top-right "packing"/"saving" text is gone and the game still is not accepting input, but sound is there and camera movement is there.
That sounds a bit strange for me. You're having problems with autosave mods, meanwhile saving, since here I start to understand it. But you shouldn't have any problem after the message of saving disappear. Do you have a SSD or mechanical one? The same behaviour happens when you make a quicksave or manual save?
Never did a vanilla quicksave :-) Have to try it.
I use a HDD.
Ah, it is F1 - dumb. Changed it to F5 like in other games as usual.
No problems with quick save.
I don't know what to answer about this. Because technically we just call the same code that the quick save does. And, at least mine, the code to save is the one that developers bring us officialy to use.
Maybe with more details, we could do something. But your problem won't be solved with the solution that we suggest at first.
These days I'm thinking about change the text config file by some ui in the game.
Personaly I prefer the text config file, because it's faster to edit and add the new groups and so on. But I could understand that maybe some people it's not using this mod because of it.
What do you think about that? Do you find hard to config the mod at this moment?
Thanks to all of you ;)
I'm just trying to think about some improvements for the mod. As I said, for me the text mode is so far better that the UI mod, but I could understand if the people wouldn't feel the same.
At the same time, I want to know the opinion of the people that is currently using the mod, because that's more important for me :-)
