Improvement Suggestions ( AKA Wishlist )
Here we can discuss and accept new improvements for the mod. I'll post here which things I accepted from your suggestions.

I would like also that this thread could help to discuss about the improvements between us ( the people that is using the mod ). Because I want to make better this mod, but I want to make improvement that most of us want, not just a minority.

Thank you!

So, I suggest to only save when no overlay is active, when no dragging is in process, only when the player "watches the scene" ...

About the dragging I can agree with you. But about no overlay active, I feel it a bit excesive and could be "dangerous" for the autosaving concept.

For me, and I guess for most of the users that use an autosave mod, the fact of having a small freeze during the game is a tiny inconvenient vs the fact to lose your game because there's a crash, electricity fail or something like that.

So we can polish the mod and try to make it less annoying, but we can't make it disappear.

I have started experiencing the save freezing the game, mainly cause when it does it I am in the process of major re-construction of parts of the city (which I am in the middle of cause of traffic problems.)
I have no problems at all with the autosave waiting until I am not doing something like making roads or something :)

I didn't mean a short freeze while saving, I meant a total freeze of the whole game for ever.

So, when the top-right "packing"/"saving" text is gone and the game still is not accepting input, but sound is there and camera movement is there.

hmm, I don't get to the packing part, I have "saving" and thats it... still got sound etc, but cannot do anything.. - even went away for a while and left it, came back and it still said saving.

That sounds a bit strange for me. You're having problems with autosave mods, meanwhile saving, since here I start to understand it. But you shouldn't have any problem after the message of saving disappear. Do you have a SSD or mechanical one? The same behaviour happens when you make a quicksave or manual save?

No, when I manually save, it works fine.
Never did a vanilla quicksave :-) Have to try it.
I use a HDD.

Ah, it is F1 - dumb. Changed it to F5 like in other games as usual.
No problems with quick save.

I don't know what to answer about this. Because technically we just call the same code that the quick save does. And, at least mine, the code to save is the one that developers bring us officialy to use.

Maybe with more details, we could do something. But your problem won't be solved with the solution that we suggest at first.

Hi,

These days I'm thinking about change the text config file by some ui in the game.

Personaly I prefer the text config file, because it's faster to edit and add the new groups and so on. But I could understand that maybe some people it's not using this mod because of it.

What do you think about that? Do you find hard to config the mod at this moment?

Thanks to all of you ;)

Personally it doesn't worry me in the least :) - go with whatever you think is good for you, after all you are the developer...

I'm just trying to think about some improvements for the mod. As I said, for me the text mode is so far better that the UI mod, but I could understand if the people wouldn't feel the same.

At the same time, I want to know the opinion of the people that is currently using the mod, because that's more important for me :-)
