Listen dude, it's like a pay wall, and it sucks when you can't enjoy stuff. Can you try to include the files? It's much appreitiated when people do that for us pennyless heathens.
I know this response is late and you probably don't care anymore but let me explain something to you as you don't seem like a seasoned GMod player to me.
GMod used to offer a cheap package deal of GMod+CS:S (why it was removed is beyond me) which was and I would say still is considered to be one of the only "mandatory" mountable games you should have installed on GMod. Tons of addons, gamemodes, and servers rely on the textures and models in that game.
I'm honestly not fond of Counter Strike: Source myself, but I could never play GMod without it unless I wanted to have a broken, error and purple checker-board-filled experience.
And I agree with your sentiment, pay walls are retarded as hell and we all know Valve doesn't need the money, so some may not agree with what I'm about to say but I don't really give a ♥♥♥♥; you may as well just torrent CS:S and extract the resources yourself. A better alternative is to skip the hard work and download a CS:S content addon floating on the web that's already compiled for use.
And I'd rather not get my ass roasted by a Valve copyright claim or get my workshop item taken down due to slapping their assets into my addon just like that. The world isn't always so simple, unfortunately.
How would you even play TTT without CS:S installed? Lmao. Unless they completely use custom models. The fact still remains that a ton of GMod maps use CS:S's building textures and such.
So there you go, the full-on GMod experience is at the disposal of shekel-less Steam users. Do with this information as you will, I just wanted to offer a helpful explanation and not leave people in the dark over here. Have a good one, bud.
