I'm not going to promise anything, but I've got a pull request with said feature implemented. I might update the mod within the next few days (probably going to wait for the patch that's supposed to come out).

Great idea, I have so many broken bus rouites from bulldozing roads for chanhes or adding highway connections that buses don't seem to behaving properly.

There are even ghost bus stops left behind and the new higjway has buses stopping at these ghost bus stop waiting for cims to board causing traffic to backup severely on the highway.
