Suggestions
Here is a place where you can post any suggestions that you have for Hero in the Dark.

If you have any ideas about monsters, magic, items etc, This is the place to post. Please be as detailed as possible and try to stay on topic. I can't promise that any idea placed here will be used but I can promise that we will read them. We have a very detailed plan for this mod far into future updates, but we are willing to listen to anyone that might have some ideas to throw at us ;)

That would be amazing,Sadly i do belive the game needs to be out and not EA(Early Access) to make mods for it,but i wouldnt know since i dont have DST.Also i think you should make an even bigger backpack than the pigyback, such as a golden bag of holding...classic.

There are already bags of holding and wand/scroll cases in the mod, not larger than backpack, but they work differently ;)

In the next explorable area that will be launched, there will be larger sizes made available ;)
First, freaking awesome mod. it is everything i wish i had the talent to make. Thank you for making this. have you thought of allocating spell slots and letting them reset each morning? allowing druids more spells as long as they are on the overworld and less the deeper they go into caves? maybe add a "holy shrine" that a cleric can pray at and it will fill him up with the spirit of his god (fully refill sanity). or allowing the shadow knight to desacrate it to make it an unhallowed ground? adding a npc in the dwarven city that will sell things only to the rogue. a fencer if you will. make the druid get a sanity buff when around beefalo, rabbits, and birds. a recipe for ink using a spider gland, charcoal and ash. the ink can be used to "blind" enemies to give them a % chance to do no damage. or combie with a bird feather and paper to make a spell scroll. then use the scroll to hold a spell for later.

I will not spoil much , but a couple of your suggestions are similar to things that will be added in future updates ;) (note, some of the other characters, including druid already get spell like abilities to use, outside of the casting system)

Thanks for your suggestion but,

1. DST is not finished, so makes no sense to move a large mod like this over to it, it might not even be possible in its current form.

2. This is up to Klei, when/if Klei makes DST for everyone, not just steam users, we will consider moving the mod to DST. As of now, we can't support something that is steam exclusive.
ok guys here is a suggestion I played as shadow knight here was my experince

I go into game seeing my sanity falling like crazy, why? I knew he would be losing sanity at daytime but this is rediculous. I lost all my sanity by the time day was over, and was killed by the Illusions.
Suggestion: give him more sanity (maybe an item to help) or at the least give throw in an option to remove illusions

Edit: I have found that if he is standing in the evil biome he regains sanity, but how do you expect me to survive the goblins there? Seriously a level one cannot survive 10 goblins at once.

If I am doing something wrong then you should tell me.

Trust me on this, if you listen and perhaps give him a buff this will help. I really like this mod and I think this could really go somewhere.

@ evil beast, i found that if you can find your way to one of maxwells shrines, or the door to adventure, there are a lot of evil flowers around and they sky-rocket your sanity. and stay away from beefalo and pigs if you can. they give a "good" sanity buff. i made my base near a "M" made of evil flowers and i usually have to return there every 2 days or so to regain my sanity. also, if you pick the normal flowers it may give a small hit, but it is a lot better than the DoT effect from them. full moons will turn normal flowers into evil ones. if you catch bees, and release them, they will no longer take the pollen from flowers to their hive because they will be "homeless". that will cause them to start planting flowers. so if you can make it to a full moon, then release homeless bees, they will start planting random evil flowers. just a few tips i found. hope it helps. good luck

As the shadow knight you have to learn a totally different playstyle from normal DS, I will also note that the shadow knight is not fully fleshed out, there will be more added for his evil sword ;)

Also, a much more grindy way is to place walls with a rotten meat enclosed, it will be a good spot to gain sanity where you ever wanted it!
Just do it as much as you need and your sanity problems will be gone!
thanks for the help guys, I hope this mod gets better in the future, but this is my most favorite mod so far.

So far I love this mod, it has made Don't Starve a much deeper experience. That being said, I'd like to suggest Quest NPCs that give unique items as rewards for giving specific items to the NPC. Also I would absolutely love an action RPG style "end-game" (shudders at the word end-game, how about "very late game"), where you have enough survivability that you could kill hordes of enemies, and then have bosses with unique abilities that require player mobility to avoid. Just suggestions, take them if you like them. Keep up the amazing work!
