MacBook SSL error
"error: 14077438:ssl routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error"

As we've seen in comments, a bunch of Macbook users appear to have this particular error when TTS tries to load textures and models from internet. I hope it can be solve somehow and I've checked in the web for possible solutions.

It seems we can just see what items are missing (the game shows separate error window for each of them and allows to find appropriate file on local disc) and download them from the net manually though I believe there must be a better way than downloading 100 files one by one. It may be the problem of wrong ports that disallows machine to download content.

I hope this is somehow looked into as I strive to play some X-Wing games in TTS :)

PS. I am creating this thread mainly to get attention from Col. Jack I'Neill's. Also possibly someone may have dealt with this problem and would like to share a solution.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem and I don't know how to solve it...

This issue is due to an insecure and outdated way that the Unity game engine tries to connect to SSL-enabled hosts. The devs of TTS are aware of it but can't really do much:

I solved the problem with a local SSL proxy for those sites, implemented in Ruby. It works most of the time, but it's rather horrible because I rewrite the hosts file twice every time a couple of requests are being made:

I solved this problem on a friend's mac.. I hosted all my TTS mods data on a dropbox folder, he downloaded hte folder and placed on his TTS folder. It worked.. But as the files aren't identified, he had to download all the files (over 1,5Gb)...

Did anyone manage to work this out? I'd really like to play some games as I bought TTS just for this purpose :/
