TF2 Deathmatch Mercenary SFM

New Class Anyone?
Okay so I know this discussion will create a lot of arguments but I think this should be a class in TF2. We do have a solder yes, but we need a class that is a cross between scout and solder. Speed and power, with just enough protection to hold his own on the front line. This class could very easily fit that roll while giving players used to Halo a class that will fit there play style.

Character:

I really can't come up with a good stereotype for this character; the only one I came up with is Italy. Anyone else have a better idea?

For weapons this is what I am thinking:
- M-16 (primary)
-- cross between the SMG and Sniper Rifle; minus the scope making it perfect for close to mid-range combat.
- Shotgun (Secondary)
-- The typical secondary of most assault classes in TF2.
- Combat Knife (Melee)
-- Has the same speed of the Bat and the power of a Shovel; but its range is extremely short.

Alt. Weapons/unlocks, ideas, and abilities:
- Hand Granades. (secondary replacement)
-- only class that uses grenades, could open new ways of combat such as grenade jumping and the introduction of stick grenades.
- Pistol (secondary replacement)
-- Just for fun you can replace the shotgun with the pistol.
- Surplus Box of Boom ( secondary replacement)
-- Increases clip and ammo capacity size by 20%.

There doesn't need to be a new class. The game is already fairly balanced since after the gun mettle update. Adding a 10th class would ruin the balancing in the game. It would take months, maybe even years to balance out the class + every other class.

I would like a ten class...but I rather if there was alt models for classes we already have.

If a tenth class was added it wouldn’t be in base game, it would only be in Team Death Match or Free For All which the TF2 Classic Mod already has.

We really don't need a new class, to be honest. It'd just be unbalancing and overexcessive. None of the other classes have crossovers, so why add this guy? I like the idea, don't get me wrong, and you make really good ideas for weapons, but it's just kind of...unnecessary.

In my opinion, this would not work as every mercenary has a story besides the death match merc

Lore: The Mann brothers realised 9 mercs only goes so far, so they hired the Mercenary and his 873 identical cousins to act as a buffer to the classic 9.

Kit:
Primary: AR 15/M16 type 3-round burst weapon, The First shot of 3 is less accurate and the other 2 are perfectly accurate. 30-round magazine size and 20 or so base damage.

Secondary: Stock shotgun or Stock pistol

Melee: Crowbar or combat knife
