how to switch from steam to nexus versions without issues

as the title states i started falskaar but recently got into nexus so i wanna know how do i change to the nexus version but keep the story progress for falskaar I have in the steam version without messing up my game (i wouldnt mind restarting the dlc but i just dont want conflictions) any advice?
