Guide to Fixing Common Issues with the Mod

If you're experiencing issues with the mod, here's a guide to help you bypass them.

How to Make the Mod Work

I previously made a comment that didn't address this issue because I hadn't encountered it. However, after reinstalling the mod and spending about an hour troubleshooting, I found a way to fix it:

Load into a game.
Exit the game.
Close GMod.
Repeat the above steps several times. (You only need to do this when you first install the mod.)
After that, open GMod and follow these steps:

Click "Play."
Change the gamemode to "Squad Survival."
Click a map.
This method always worked for me, but it might be different for everyone.





Bugs:

Machines and Snipers not awarding points: Unfortunately, there's no fix for this.

Zombies not spawning until you place at least one unit: Just buy one Combine soldier, and you will be fine.

Horde mode crashes GMod: Sadly, there's no fix for this; you will have to avoid using it.

Document mode not spawning documents: There's no fix for this; you will have to avoid using it.

Soldiers/Enemys are broken: you dont have HL2 installed go to "Games" and turn off HL2 to fix this or buy and install the game if you would like the bonus enemys






I recommend trying out "Commander" too. It's a great mod very close to this one, but it has its issues too.

Suggestions for New Features

Forcefield:

Forcefields can take a lot of hits and act like walls. Soldiers can pass through them.
Stompers:

Stompers work with the Antlion gamemode, increasing the number of enemies. This could apply to all gamemodes or just Antlions. Per wave, you will get 1 extra point for having this.
Strider:

Striders will function as they do in HL2.
Stalkers:

Stalkers will mostly sit around, but they could passively increase earnings from waves.
Mission Ideas

Rebels:
Rebels will Spawn, Dont let them defeat you.

Protection:

Breen will spawn next to the player. If Breen dies, the player fails. Rebels will attack, and the timer is set for 4 minutes.
