Suggestions
While i played the game, i noticed a few things that would make it better and so here's what i came up with (If some of these are bugs, i apologize). Dropships should be able to shoot from the carrier it has attached, or be able to drop units (Soldiers). I say this because when i bought this for 100 points, all it did was fly around not doing anything. Some things that would be essential for defence tactics would be the addition of Barriers to the game. These could be set with a certain ammount of health to slow down the enemy's advancement towards you. This would be helpful in horde mode, where turrets can be exploded easily by zombies. The cleanup of corpses and destroyed ceiling turrets in the game would help performance and stop the random slaughter of your troops when the corpses are walked upon. I especially saw this with the Black Mesa Zombies and HECU Marines. Ammo in the game is very diminished from what the average use is. During large waves, most of my troops die and it is left up to me. Upon these occasions, i need to use the ammo crates often, which do not drop enough ammo to last a good while. I would suggest that ammo crates should have a few (or more) of each ammo entity for each of your weapons instead of dropping the weapon itself. This would make for much more easier disposal of the enemys in large numbers when you cannot call upon your reinforcements. I hope these suggestions could improve the game expierence if added in! Anyways, thanks!

- The Dropships: they can deploy soldiers if you type !deploysoldiers. I plan on expanding that feature in the future, in fact the actual feature is a simple placeholder. These soldiers do not cost points, though.

- Barriers: Its possible to add them, but the enemies will ignore them, simply bumping into them until they realize there's way around. (I don't know how to edit the enemy AI to make them attack props)
It's a good idea nonetheless, I'll work on it.

- Corpse cleanup: The game automatically cleans the gmod corpses, using g_ragdoll_maxcount x on the console you set how many corpses you can have laying around.
But I'll add a function to delete dead machines like ceiling turrets.

- Ammo: The way it works now, you can help your soldiers kill the enemies, but you can't go Rambo because there's not enough ammo. I like it this way, making the use of soldiers more meaningful. With more ammo, players could simply not use soldiers, wich is not the point of this gamemode.

I can add an option to double the amount of ammo recieved, anyway. Remember that any other crates in the map also have ammo.

I suggest some of the following:

  • Including the ability/option to change what the enemies are, for example; Antlions instead of zombies, or some other addon.

  • A HUD thats set up for this game mode. Not needed, but would be cool.

  • The option to build/barricade things.

Hey! It's me from the future. I've been messing around in coding ideas and other neat things and I may have a solution to the barricades. Since the NPCs won't attack barricades, they WILL attack NPCs. So here's my idea: The player can spawn a "Barricade", which is a special prop that relates it's location to a script which will then spawn a custom invisible NPC when the barricade is situated in a proper, stable position. The prop will freeze in place, sort of like being frozen like a physgun. The prop will keep it's values as a regular old Gmod prop while the NPC mentioned has a specifically designed hitbox surrounding the barricade. The NPC and the prop relate it's health between each other and have a like relationship to Combine (and player) and have a hate relationship to zombies, antlions, etc. For example, a player places a barricade blocking a enterence on gm_construct. The barricade is situated and the NPC is spawned (which if you want, you can add a sound indicating that the barricade is functional). A zombie notices the "hostile npc" and begins to attack it. The NPC begins to lose health (which you can add a color indication that changes the color of the prop. Such as 100hp = Green 70-89hp = Yellow 39-50hp = Orange 0-38 = Red) and eventually dies, which deletes / destroys the prop as soon as the NPC dies. Since this will be a custom NPC, you don't have to add death sounds, hit effects, or corpses. Just basically a prop's AI. I hope this helps despite the super long description of the idea.

This is an amazing mod, I was just wondering if you could add support for the xenomorph VJ SNPC, I think that would definitely be an improvement.

It's a shame that there's only one type of Xenomorph in that mod, though.
