PC perfomance with this mod?
Heya guys,

I am playing on 25 tiles now and before I try 81 tiles I wanted to see you people, who use 81tiles, how big your cities are and if you noticed and drop in PC perfomance when going for such a big city?

Pretty dumb reason for asking your question. What you should do imo; play with 81 spaces and build as much as your computer can handle. - If you hit that limit; buy more hardware.

I came here to hear (read) other people's experience with their cities, 81 tiles and their PC setup. not to have some n00b tell me what he thinks is dumb or not.

Just like with 9 or 25 tiles, the tile count doesn't change anything. It all comes down to how you build. If you want to cover the entire map as densely as possible its going to crawl and you'll run into object count limits. If you want sprawling farmlands created with 16x16 brushes and large greenspaces between cities it won't be any more stressful than a dense 25 tile city would be.

The size isn't what matters, it is what you are doing that does, more tiles lets you do more, but also lets you do less in way.

As soon as this mod came out i started work on my own map; a combination of real world data and my own crafting abilities to terraform a coast line. I have a powerful computer with an i7 5820k cpu and a gtx 980 running this game. it is stored on one of my 250 gb ssd's. I dont really anticipate any problems having 1 million sims covering the map. :) right now my city only has around 30000 and it performs flawlessly with the graphics cranked to ultra and some smaa mods as well.

Do us all a favor and turn on google translate, you need it. If you have an octa core you should be playing simcity buildit.
