Does this mod disable any music?
From the base game or dlc?

i've been using this and it seems like it disables old ones.

According to http://www.eu4wiki.com/Music_modding this mod "overrides" the vanilla music because of the file songs.txt. (which you can find in "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\mod\moremusic.zip")

I myself made both collections of music work by changing the respective filenames to more_songs.txt and more_music.asset, but other names should also be possible.

I cannot rename it in the zip file. Do I rename the vanilla music files?

Did you try to extract the files, rename them and put them back into the zip file?
At least with 7-zip this should be possible.
