code
Hi, i'd like to have an automatic feature where i can configure my bus lines to auto produce busses depending on their average weekly commuters.

eg, under 50 = 2 busse, 51-99 4 busses, 100-150 - 5 busses etc.

i think your mod should be able to do this 'quite' easily?

i'm a semi novice with c# but would love to try add this feature to your mod as a user option. would you be willing to share your code with me so i can try? I wont release any changes to your mod but will certainly return any progress i make with it back to you.

thanks

Dave.

Hi,

this feature would be against what this mod is trying to accomplish.

Right now I have no plans on sharing the source code but maybe i'll do that in the future.

why against what mod is designed for? mod allows a user to add /remove transport vehicles which i guess people do now depending on how busy their line is. having a button which when clicked will set the number of vehicles on a line for every x people using a line is kind of what the mod does now, just manually. which gets tedious, for me at least, with 100's of lines to search though. tinkering of vehicle count, due to line lengths or any reason a player might require after that, would still function as it does now - until a 'reschedule' button is clicked again.

reason i ask is because just adding one metro or even new bus line can radically change usage on previously set lines. having a quick 'stock' option would speed up tinkering vehicle counts no end

is it possible to add a toggle instead then ,to allow the line info list to display in order of commuters using a line instead or line name? so is easier to cross reference number of commuters using a line to that lines vehicle count.

other than having to constantly scroll through 100's of lines to tweek vehicle count every time a new district gets connected to my network, your mod is awesome. so please dont think the above as a complaint, just a feature i'd find useful. either way back off to the game to drive my busses :)

Might I suggest that releasing your source code, under license, is a good idea? It allows users of your mod to make changes they want themselves - as long as you license against redistribution, you're protected from people using your work as their own.
