What's new? [Changelog]
Here's the changelog for rp_downtown_opti! This includes everything that was changed or improved from the original map.

Note: When I refer to a building as "inner" or "outer", I am referring to the inner/outer ring of the suburbs.


Suburbs
---------------
Removed props in the inner two-level house

Corrected sideways textures in the outer two-level house

Corrected floating wall in the inner two-level house

Removed rain pipes in the inner two-level house

Corrected floating, frameless windows in the inner two-level house

Corrected floating door frames in the inner two-level house

Adjusted rug decals in the subdivision-house

Removed parking lot behind subdivision-house and added a second subdivision-house

Corrected offset inner sidewalk railing

Corrected partially missing door frames in the three-level house

Corrected entity used by the gas station windows

Adjusted player-clip brush over subdivision-house to fit properly

Corrected floating walls and stairs in outer-right-corner house

Added func_detail to all window frames (preventing a serious error circumvented by previous creators)

Removed unneccesary func_detail entity from gas station wall

Corrected misaligned brush behind the three-level house

Corrected hole in rockface

Downtown
---------------
Made notorious "unbreakable window" breakable

Leveled the columns on the roof across from PD

Leveled sidewalk across from PD

Corrected entity used by the downtown store windows

Removed pipes next to the gunstore

Replaced generator nearby gunstore with decals

Removed dumpster nearby PD

Moved alley dumpster to a less obtrusive spot

Added a lamp to a building

Slums
---------------
Corrected entity used by the middle house windows

Fixed notorious floating stairs

Admin Area

Replaced rock face with wall

Removed "ROQJ" letters

General
---------------
Removed some of the billboards

Optimized hidden brush sides throughout the map

Corrected overlapping/detatched brushes throughout the map

Corrected and aligned sidewalk textures

The way it has no roof annoys me, but I see no way of fixing it now that I think about it.

Yeah. While I'd love to add a roof, there is a very complex skybox there.

See where there's that thin line of bricks sticking out? Could you not make the rest of the building that height?

I noticed that as well. It might be due to the decompile. That kind of issue appeared somewhere else in the map, but I couldn't fix it there, either...

If I happen to find a solution, I'll surely update the map.
