Want to play, but not working properly
When I tried to play, I am missing a lot of barriers, walls, and zombies are invisible. I tried playing on the same setting that I do on the regular game. That didn't work, so I lowered them, and still highly choppy and laggy.

Can it be about your graphic card? Actually I don't know why it is happening to you like that :(

Could be. Running a GeForce GTX 860M. Works perfectly on regular campaign mode. Even validated all the files.

What about the other workshop maps? Are you getting the same error with them or not? Maybe you need to re-install Dying Light DevTools.

I might have to do that. I unsubscribed from the custom maps as well. I;ll try re-adding them again and see what happens.

I looked in the workshop for the developer tools. Only came across "developer tools example."

I tried about 8 maps, and none worked well. Missing walls and items, missing barriers, missing zombies. And just terrible choppy even with my settings set low. Never had any problems with the full game with video settings much higher.

I had a list of the games I've tried and the problems in another thread, I'll try to find and cut & past to this. Thanks!

Here's the list I have so far:
The Tunnel - Missing walls. Can't do much
Delusion - Was alright, still choppy as heck on lowest settings
TeeVee - Another one that was alright, just hella choppy
City of Walkers - Missing walls and other barriers, invisible zombies too
Zombada - Crashes to load screen every time I try to start
Dying Space - Seems OK so far
Escaping Death - missing floors, barriers, some wall, and zombies
de_Dust2 - missing barriers, zombies, "Gordon", whom you are supposed to talk to. No sound from him either. invisible zombies

So far those are the only ones I've tried. Kinda guessing they just might not be made very well? Seems many share the same problems of missing barriers or zombies.

Tried all on my lowest settings, most are still at the least, very choppy and laggy. Going to look into the workshop board more as well. Thanks guys, I appreciate the input!!

installed dev tool. Re-loaded the custom maps, validated files....nothing.

As I said, it is probably because of the Graphic Card. Because your working 2 maps has a dark environment.

How am I working 2 maps? Not sure what you mean. I posted the type of graphics card I have. What reason would that card work perfectly for the regular game, and not the custom maps? Sorry, not really 'techy' when it comes to this stuff.

Works! Had to go to the Control panel 3 d setting, change the graphics driver to the Nvidia High performance, and work fine now!
