Stattttttts
+30% faster weapon switch speed to your knife only
-90% damage on non backstabs

Encourages sneakiness and trickstabbing, since shanks do almost no damage. Can bring it up faster which is great for trickstabs, but the damage penalty is bad if you screw up your stab.
These stats will make me want to use this weapon instead of things I usually use (you know, kunai, stock, spycicle etc...) and these stats aren't that gimmicky either.

What is the point of these stats? it has a TINY upside with a crippling downside

Helps with trickstabs as I've said. You can be shooting somebody with your gun,or sapping a sentry and switch to your knife quicker,if you have to do a matador/corner/stairstab.Your knife will be ready sooner, since you switched to it quicker.
The downside isn't really crippling, since you wouldn't really be doing shanks, unless you ♥♥♥♥ up your stab.Yeah,it could be increased to maybe 40% faster weapon switch, though I don't want to make it a straight upgrade to the stock.(The damage penalty is only for shanks, which you wouldn't do usually, unless,I said, you mess up your stab.)
These stats are for people who trickstab often. They'll most likely get the stab if they succeed, meaning the downside is non existent. So what they'll have basically,is a stock knife, that they can switch to quicker.

How about this?

+Move at the speed of any class you disguise as
+50% faster weapon switch

-50% speed for 2 seconds after backstabbing

Basically, it's useful for getting to key targets (like a medic). You can stab engineers, then switch to your sapper twice as fast so you can take out their targets right away. But, on the downside, you move at half the speed you were at, so everyone else can shoot at you. You can still cloak, though.

Not bad,though it's a bit one sided,depending on watch.With the dead ringer,the downside is negated,because you're basically invincible AND invisible to the enemy team.(You don't blink,enemy can't see you,can't shoot you.)
Though with the invis or C&D,by the time you can cloak fully,if somebody spotted you when you stabbed, they could do enough damage to kill you, because illusions don't work, since you're standing still basically.
If the downside was increased to 3-4 seconds,it would be (a bit) more balanced for ringer, though for the c&d and IW,it would be even worse.

no spy needs faster switch

why cant it be like a reskin for the stock knife? plus trickstabbing you should have your knife out right before you do the stab so theres no point on these stats

You can be more reckless. You can have your gun out, switch to knife,if he backs up,switch to gun and switch to knife if he comes close again.

It should also have a slight cloak boost, as to not make it underpowered.
This should be a scout weapon...you know...to go with the Frikin ninja set...
I don't think you guys understand that a "butterknife" damage reduction is barely a downside at all, while the faster weapon switch is a MAJOR upside. There's almost never any reason to melee someone as spy when you're not already backstabbing them, so this would basically wind up being a straight upgrade to stock while making trickstabbing spies even more annoying.

It's one of those stats that seems harmless, but in reality good spies would abuse the hell out of it.

That's exactly what I'm talking about! If you're good at trickstabbing, you get rewarded for it.Sort of
like the Bazaar Bargain, which rewards you for headshots.Again, there's always a chance of missing, but at the same time, there's also the chance to miss/screw up a trickstab.

Yeah, but here's the thing; Valve makes the stats.

Oh,thanks capt.obvs.I never even thought that would be the case.I guess you should go to the thousands of custom stat discussions and post this to save the day!
