ClearUI bug report
If you have any issues with this skin please report them here. For a quick solution I recommend to post a link to a screenshot showing your issue. With a screenshot it is much easier to understand what could be wrong.
Please also post the error message you get (if there is one).

Hey there! I have been loving this skin, but when I last booted up my game I got this error:

Sapphire.MissingUIComponentException while applying skin module "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\428457597\_SapphireSkin\Modules/Misc.xml" at node "<Component name="MilestoneContainer"> <Component name="UnlockingPanel">..</Component </Component> ": Missing UI component - "UnlockingPanel" with parent "MilestoneContainer"

And now I can't run the skin anymore :(

Thanks a lot for reporting! I'll check this issue immediately and upload an updae asap.

Sorry for breaking the skin for you :(

Haha, not a problem! Hopefully it's not something I've done that I'm sending you on a wild goose chase for.
DudeFromTheHills  [developer] 2 May, 2015 @ 11:30am
Well, I guess it is something that you have done because the error message tells that there is no component that's called "UnlockingPanel" ... but it is there, even in the vanilla skin. ;)
But it shouldn't be a problem to fix that. Udate will be uploaded tomorrow. :)

Weird... no clue what I must have done, I'll try validating my game cache.

Won't solve the problem I think. But don't worry, update incoming. ;)
LittleMikey 2 May, 2015 @ 10:57pm
OK! Good to know!
DudeFromTheHills  [developer] 2 May, 2015 @ 11:07pm
Updated! :)
I hope the bug is fixed now, please let me know if not.

Looks like it's all working again, thanks!

Thank you for reporting! ;)

Since the update of this skin, my Silicon UI can no longer present the 'policies' tab. Neither City nor District one. I'd figure it is completely unrelated, though curious the UI rework was able to show everything before this change. Just pointing it out, might have accidentaly messed something somewhere else (coding eh)

--> Disabling sapphire UI alltogether gets me the policies window back, so must be something in here....still curious.

Well that's a weird bug. I'll check if I can do anything about it and update the skin asap.

Thanks a lot for reporting! :)

I can say that when I was playing earlier today I was able to view and set district policies fine, but I also have the hide districts mod installed so that might have been helping somehow.

Here is the weirder thing still, I unsubscribed from Clear UI, started Cities Skylines, closed it, resubbed for Clear UI, same for Silicon UI, both with Sapphire enabled and disabled... and everything seems to be in working order. Not sure which of the re-subs fixed it, could be any or all. Leaves the question "Why the hell would Clear UI influence Silicion UI, from two whole different authors, while not changing anything in the only thing they share (Sapphire project)?"

I will leave that to the pro coders to figure out, or just let it slide. In any case, s i c, thank you for the amazing support and I will be using Clear UI shortly enough(hope you and coconut are not rivals or anything, just like to switch things around and keep it all fresh).

Again: more devs should be as awesome in their support even on small things like this. And apologies for any time you might have wasted on my behalf while I was desubbing and resubbing for a couple of hours.

Glad to read that you fixed it yourself. To be honest, I didn't take a closer look yet, had to do some real life stuff (most boring game ever^^).

If you want to leave it to the pro-coders... I'm out, all I can code are skins for Sapphire. ;)

So the big question is: Why do they influence each other? Just a speculation without any proof: Sapphire maybe is caching the data and doesn't restore it properly in some cases when changing the skin. Maybe there is a setting I've made that causes this, maybe it's in Silicon (doubt it, the code is so damn clean), maybe in Sapphire itself. Don't know yet but I'll check this issue anyway.

If you use ClearUI I'm really happy, if you like to use Silicon: go for it. There is no rivalry or something like that going on between coconut and me. I really like Silicon, wish I would have made it. ;)
My opinion is simple: Sapphire was made to customize the UI the way you want, so noone should have any problem with someone not using a specific skin.
