How can it airblast?
From the looks of it, this flamethrower doesn't seem to be able to airblast.

( Though this doesn't prevent me to adding this to my favorites. )

well it is a welding torch so there is oxygen in one of the tanks for the flame to work, if it had a cutting tip it could blast out oxygen but otherwise there is no real logical way

If you want a actually "serious business" answer i'm willing to give you one.

Since it's basically a big gas welder which appears to be modefied for metal cutting by the addition of what looks like a oxygen-blast trigger at the handel next to the gas tanks (the oxygen-blast trigger is normally attached to the torch it self so i could be wrong about it's purpose but let's assume i'm not) this means that if the pyro cut off the Acetylene (stopping the flames) and then use the oxygen-blast trigger, It would blast out oxygen and create an air blast effect. the only problem would be to restart the welder afterwards since it would require a flame/spark.

TL;RD yes it could technically air blast but resuming to burning people would take some time

...or it might be magic after all who knows

This answers my question. Though I must say that your full explanation was actually less confusing than your TL;DR.

that'd make a cool concept, a slow endlag airblast so you could be punished for using it wrong

As far as I know, the current airblast speed will punish you for using it wrong already. If you do it too soon, you'll get the rocket in your face, even if you keep alt-fire pressed down.
Even if it makes sense in a realistic point of view, the gameplay mechanic would be awful and anything but fun.

Well you could make it so the air blast is continuous, more like a airstream (this would also fit well with reality since you can hold down the blast trigger for as long as you want to). the negative would be that you have to wait for let's say 1-2 sec before you can start burning people again (restarting the welder).

This would make the weapon very risk vs reward orientation, if you did it at the right time it would make a fantastic anti projectiles weapon but if you did it at the wrong time you would easily be taken out by classes that uses bullets instead of explosives. you could also add a 10-20% explosion damage on the wearer to punish you for only using the weapon when it suits you. This also means that the soldier and demoman players never have to feel like they are at such a huge disadvantage since if they manage to land even a few hits with their explosive weapons the pyro would be dead.

It would also make sense context wise since this pyro set is based all around being a friend to the engineer and what engineer wouldn't love a pyro that could basically get rid of all those nasty explosives for him.

Hope this suggestion wasn't too bad. Also sorry for any misspellings, didn't have time to proof read it

ive used that form of welding torch and one of the tanks the pyro is holding would be oxigen in order to fuel the flame

So he would use all the air he needs to breathe? -_-
Btw you shouldn't breathe pure oxygen all the time.

What about you can hold down right mouse button and it will narrow down the flame, the flame will now distroy projectiles if they touch it.

If it did that as intended use, it'd get nerfed, like the short circuit.
