Is there a way to provide improvements or bug fixes? I have small improvements to add information to the character selection screen. I would prefer not creating my own workshop item, as that would divide the user base.

For me, it would be ideal to submit a pull request on a public revision control repository (e.g. on github.com). These systems are well designed for submitting and reviewing both ideas for changes and already implemented changes. With a link to the repository (e.g. in the description), anyone can help maintain this mod without creating a competing one. Hopefully, this keeps this creation working with all of the latest features of Don't Starve Together for the foreseeable future, without creating a large burden on the original author or on the community (which would need to sift through every version of the mod looking for the most up-to-date one).
