What would happen if i play not supported maps?
Also, can you just change the Katana to an axe or other melee weapon on maps that do not support Katana spawn?

@Essah Sorry for my late response my computer was broken, you would spawn without a weapon not even being able to push back infected. I don't think there is a simple way to change a weapon in specific levels and if I changed every level to an axe you wouldn't be a swordsman...

Changing a spawn weapon in unsupported levels to an axe is better than having no weapon at all.
There are a few problematic points about this mutation i have noticed:
1. The tank. In earlier Lone Gunman mutation versions he would die after a single shot from the magnum. It was changed. Most likely to make the game harder. In Lone Swordsman you cant really attack the tank as you go down after a single pound from him.
2. The damage of infected is too high. You go down after a single hit from them. Changing it to real vanilla damage values (10 and 20 damage per hit from infected on expert difficulty) would ballance it.

I have the infected damage set to kill you in four swipes on normal difficulty just like lone gunman, in fact I took the code straight from lone gunman and only changed it slightly

All maps are now supported but "non-supported" maps will have you spawn with a baseball bat instead of a katana

Nice. What about reballancing the difficulty? The one hit death is really too much damage from the infected. Especially at final maps of campaigns where they spawn almost constantly

Are you playing on expert? On normal it takes four hits to kill you

I made a version where it takes 8 hits to kill you and theres half of the amount of infected at once: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=567373746

Thanks. It would be nice to leave the amount of infected as it was, just nerfing the infected strenght to do the vanilla damage. And maybe reducing tank HP (probably to 1 as it was when first lone gunman versions were released?), as unlike in lone gunman, you cant ignite any gas cans with a melee weapon.

I didnt play the game for a while and thus dont remember, are molotov spawns enabled in this mutation? If yes, it would be the solution for the tanks.

The tank's HP is already at one

All throwable items are enabled

I don't want to do that since I feel it'd be too similar to Rayman's One vs Many mutation found in his mod pack.
Again, if you're playing on expert, play on normal difficulty instead, It'll take 4 hits for infected to kill you and tanks won't one shot ya.

As more people have requested it, I've created a version with vanilla damage found here

Thanks, thats great. However, one problem remains: Its still broken on expert (probably advanced too) difficulty on maps where you need to fill up generators/cars, as the infected spawn flow is continuous. One has barely the time to heal himself. Bringing all the cans to the generator is not possible, even the less to fill them up.
