Gun Permit bug
My character is a close combat adept, and never carries a firearm. So, Lone Star rarely bothers him on the street. (Apparently carying a katana, an axe whose blade is edged with cutting lasers and a bunch of shurikens is considered perfectly normal.)

However, the runners I hire DO carry firearms, so I figured (foolishly) that I should buy a permit in case the group of us ran into hostile Lone Star patrols. However, NOW when a Lone Star stops me in the street, he says "Do you have a permit to carry that?" and I have to show him my fake permit. Apparently, just possessing a firearms permit magically makes an illusionary gun appear in your hands.

'gun' in that conversation seem to be a vestigal remnant. both the laser axe, one of the monofilament swords and possibly other non rifle/shotgun/smg weapons trigger that conversational branch.

But melee weapons don't need permits (I have both the laser axe and the mono sword). I never was asked for any kind of permit before I bought the gun permit; that appears to be what triggered the Lone Star officers to even ask.

In retrospect, the hired runners presumably have their own fake permits, so it was a waste of money to even buy one. Oh well, now I know better.
